Scalloping! The grounds are straight out the Homosassa and you can go north until you see boats, or south until you see boats. North has more shallow water scalloping earlier in the year, but later in the year we go south in about 8ft.

A little further south. (Hwy 480) Take it west to the Chass.. River campground. You can park there for a fee and they'll give you a map. Awesome. You can explore springs and the Chassahowitzka National Wildlife Refuge

Approx. 20 minutes north, this natural area is great for paddling and features the 7 sisters spring which is a shallow area where you can snorkel and swim through small interconnecting caverns. You may find kayak rental here too.

A beautiful place to kayak (they have rentals there). You can also swim in the springs. There's even a tree rope that you can swing on to splash into the river.
