In August 2013 The Majestic Theatre turned 100 years old. The venerable vaudeville house has seen many incarnations over the decades before being purchased by the City of Corvallis in 1985 at the behest of the community. Many organizations were involved in the lobby to purchase the building & raise operating funds. The Majestic's focus is on establishing The Majestic as the flagship cultural space for the performing and contemporary arts in downtown Corvallis, serving the City and surrounding counties. Historic local community theatre offering a wide variety of artistic productions from reader's theatre and improv nights, to drop-in aerialist flexibility classes and short film workshops, and to seasonal productions and musical performances! Excellent place to spend an evening. Small homey feel with friendly cast and crew. Intermission has snacks and drinks for donations. Highly entertaining and the variety is excellent.
