The Mineral Belt Trail is a paves 11-mile trail that completely encircles Leadville. Running both through town and surrounding mines, the views are the best in Leadville and some of the best in Colorado.

The Mineral belt trail is a fun way to stay active, enjoy nature and your favorite outdoor sports, and learn something along the way! Featuring 11.6 miles of Aspen Grovesm Conifer Forest, Wildflower meadows and open sage parks, this paved trail is suitable for everyone to take part. Best of all, in the winter this trail is still maintained and groomed for winter activities such as Nordic Skiing, snowshoeing and fatbiking. It winds in and out of town so you can conveniently access it and take a break every once in awhile!
