The Tallgrass Nature Conservancy, just north of town, is a beautiful drive offering scenic views of vast grasslands and wildlife, including free-range Buffalo.

Watch one of the last wild herds of buffalo roam the plains. It's nearly always possible to see the bison, and you may see more than you want! Sometimes they come right up to the car. (Stay inside; bison can make a 6 ft vertical leap.)
