Historic palace in downtown Kona. On Ali'i drive, about 10 minutes away by car. Tours by reservation or walk-in. Check website.
Hulihee Palace is a former royal vacation home dating from 1838. It was converted to a museum run by the Daughters of Hawaiʻi, showcasing furniture and artifacts. It is located at 75–5718 Aliʻi Drive, Kailua-Kona
This museum offers a lot of historical information. Wonderful place to stroll and learn a little about this historical site. Even if there is a cover charge please understand, it was the home of Hawaiian royalty and well you have to also pay to see George Washington's Mount Vernon.
