Пляжная линия протяженностью около 1.5 км и шириной до 70 м покрыта светлым песком, по которому приятно ходить босиком. Спуск в море пологий, дно песчаное и чистое. С декабря по февраль полный штиль, но в другие сезоны поднимаются довольно высокие волны. В отлив обнажается значительная часть дна. Горы, покрытые буйной растительностью, закрывают берег и прибрежные воды от ветров. На южной стороне есть небольшая роща. Часть территории принадлежит отелям. Пройти на пляж удобнее по пешеходным дорожкам с южной и северной сторон, где расположены парковки. Ката – ухоженный и чистый пляж. Здесь довольно многолюдно, но толп не бывает. Среди отдыхающих много туристов с детьми разного возраста. Есть шезлонги, зонты, можно устроиться на своих полотенцах под арендованными или собственными зонтами

Kata beach is a 1 km long bay with its white sands and clear waters. It is very popular with families. From May- October, surfers come for Kata’s waves and from Nov- April, the beach is famous for relaxing holidaymakers.
