The Glacier Public Service Center has lots of info about the area. The forest rangers are often there, especially in the summer, with maps and suggestions on where to hike and what to see in the area.

Great place to learn about the area and see what roads/trails are currently open.

The Public Service Center has some park permits, is staffed by Rangers with current weather and trail information, they have maps and books for sale and some gift items for sale. A wonderful old building to visit.
