Guadalupe River Park is a three-mile ribbon of park land that runs along the banks of the Guadalupe River in the heart of downtown San Jose. Many jogging and bike trails and green spaces. Ride, walk, run or skate 2.6 miles of trails. Enjoy the public art. Attend a festival, watch the birds, or romp in a playground. Stop and smell the roses, there’s 3,700 varieties. The Rotary PlayGarden, the Rotary Club of San Jose’s centennial gift to our community, opened in May 2015. The $6 million PlayGarden enables children with special needs to play alongside their siblings and friends. grpg.org

// , This park is large, free, and open all day and night. It has one of the largest bike trails in the city, and is often used by bicycle commuters to get to the tech hubs in the north. I highly recommend a quick visit if you want someplace to do a picnic or amble around.

An extensive rose garden maintained by volunteers. I think it has many more varieties than the more well-known Municipal Rose Garden.
