In 1992, our first Ottawa store was built in an old movie theatre. It quickly became a popular destination and a larger location was soon needed. In 2000 we moved into a marvelously reconditioned building, the first retail store in Canada to comply with C2000 Green Building Certification.

If you love the outdoors and are in needs or any specific outdoor gears, clothing or just to feel the vibe of this community in itself, it is well worth to go have a look. Only 2 minutes walk from here.

MEC has bike rentals but get there early as they book quickly.

Westboro has a plethora of outdoor gear stores, but MEC is definitely your all-in-one. Kayaks and bikes can be rented from here in warmer months and snow shoes and x-coutnry skis in winter.
