September 29 - Giant Kites of Guatemala 6pm-9pm. The Studio@620 welcomes Guatemalan painter Enrique Cay as part of the Worlds' Greatest Kiting exhibition. Known for his painting of giant kites, Enrique will explain the history and significance of the day of the Dead to the Guatemalan and Mayan culture. He will assist the listeners with an understanding of the use and importance of the kites on November 1. For those interested in the fascinating holiday Day of the Dead, in Indigenous cultures in Central America and for those simply fascinated with culture this will be an evening you will not want to miss. Presentation begins at 7 PM. Free, donations accepted.
