An approximately 2 + mile hike but with approximately 1000 foot elevation gain, with spectacular views of the Columbia River Gorge, East and West. Can be windy! One of Carola's favorites! Watch for ticks, all seasons except winter. Don't sit down in the grass, stay on the trail. We do have Lyme Disease in the Gorge. If you get a tick, pull it out straight, save the tick in a zip lock bag, with a moist cotton ball. It is much more accurate to test the tick than the person. See a doctor if you have a tick bite so you can get prophylactic antibiotics. A 25 min drive.

Hike the Tom McCAll trail starting at Rowena Crest up to the peak. Enjoy wildflower prairie and huge views on top.
