Sewards highlights are the neighboring Kenai Fjords National Park, sport fish for Salmon, halibut, ling cod, and salmon shark. You can also enjoy glacier and wildlife day cruises, kayaking, sailing, hiking, and mountain biking, quaint and quirky townsfolk, 4th of July celebrations and the Silver Salmon Derby.

Seward is a charming little town, bustling with excitement and tourists to take in the sheer wonder of this amazing place. Plenty of shopping, especially for Alaska memorabilia, local artisans, superb fish, fishing of all types, whale watching, kayaking adventures, boating, berry picking, or just taking in the vast surrounding mountains.. Just to name a few ideas!

Seward is the gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park, home of the famous Mount Marathon 4th of July Race, and proud hometown of Olympic gold-medalist Lydia Jacoby. There is SO MUCH to do here! Take a full day boat tour into the National Park, rent a yurt at Shearwater Cove, book a sea kayaking tour, hike the Mount Marathon trail or the Lost Lake Trail, see the Exit Glacier Visitor Center and hike the Harding Icefield Trail, check out the Alaska Sea Life Center, go for a helicopter ride, take a sightseeing tour in a bush plane, rent one of the public use cabins at Caine's Head State Recreation Area, get cozy at the Resurrection Coffee & Art House, take a fishing charter, etc, etc. The list goes on. Plan to spend at least three nights here.
