Florence. One of the most recent gelato shops in Florence, it first opened on Via dei Bardi, across the Arno from the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio. Enjoy your gelato with a view! It also opened a second location on Borgo La Croce near Pizza Beccaria about a year ago. Artisan gelato, with natural ingredients and interesting flavors: goat cheese with walnuts, vinsanto and cantuccini cookies, whiskey with cinnamon, mascarpone with nutella and many more. The fresh, seasonal fruit flavors include pear, orange, melon. The Cantina del Gelato also specializes in smoothies with tropical fruits, such as lime, pineapple, guayaba, maracuja, and acai berries. Our favorite ice cream shop. Although there are many excellent ice cream shops in Florence, this remains our favorite for the quality of the ice cream. We recommend the tropical fruit flavors or the açai cup (very abundant). Even though my just favorite is the Croccantino al Rum

"Piazzetta Santa Maria Soprano is a small square surrounded by some of the most beautiful sites in Florence. It's also the birthplace of the " Cantina del gelato". From here you can enjoy the view of Uffizi, the Vasari corridor and Ponte Vecchio while you eat your Ice cream. Here ice cream is made using traditional methods and High quality ingredients. The cantina is also known for Milkshakes and Juices which are made from 100% natural fruits."
