There are plenty of places to go on hikes, jogs/runs or walks out North Douglas. Flase Outer Point is my favorite trail that loops around so you don't have to walk back to your vehilce on the same path you had already walked. The lower the tide the nicer the walk. One loop is about 1.1 miles.

This trail is the next parking area down from Rainforest Trail. Falser Outer Point is another relatively level loop that goes to the beach and back. In my personal opinion this one is even better than Rainforest Trail (you can park in one spot and hit both loops in one hike and end up back at your car). It passes by beaver ponds, meadow, boardwalks that appear to float over streams, and pops in and out of gorgeous beach areas. Local tips: If you go at sunset you'll usually see beaver activity on the main pond. If you go during a super low tide you can walk across the exposed land bridge out to Shaman Island for some excellent low tide exploration. Check the tide table to plan your trip.

False Outer Point hiking trail. Short trail to the beach. Mostly covered in the trees and fairly flat. There are a couple of loops. Take the trails book or ask around. You can pop out about .5 mile down the road if you go a different route. If this happens, just walk the road back to your car.
