I love Daark. It's a 15-20 minute walk to Chirn Park but the barista coffee is sooo worth it. Be warned on weekends there's a queue for tables. Delicious meals and a trendy vibe. I also have much respect for the love-filled owners.

If you make it this far north, don't miss Dark Espresso. It's possibly the best coffee on the Gold Coast, and their food is great too

Fabulous food and coffee in low-key surroundings - and the beautiful Broadwater is an easy 15 minute walk down the road to enjoy the water and surrounds
