There is so much to explore in this Provincial Park. If you hike to the top of Mount Elphinstone be aware it is not for the faint of heart. Be prepared (there is snow in June) and allow yourself 6 hours.

A short bus ride from downtown out to the ferry. Then right from getting off the ferry you can start the trail from the trail head. It's amazing to get away for the weekend. Plus the ferry ride is spectacular.

Hike, snowshoe, cross country sky... lots of trails to explore. There is even a few cabins along the way. Make sure to have all wheel drive (and chains in the winter) to make it all the way up to the trails.
