Another free beach access with world class bird watching, including American Bald Eagles fishing at certain times of year. Also sheltered within the Dungeness Spit and has great views of the lighthouse.
This is a nice place to visit the strait. Great views of the lighthouse. This is usually where we go to look for eagles.
The Landing is a lovely little park offering great views of the New Dungeness Lighthouse and Dungeness Bay. The park is so-called, because the Seattle Ferry used to land here, back in the days before the Hood Canal Bridge was built.
Dungeness Landing County Park has 13 acres of tideland sprawled along the outer Dungeness Bay. The small park has a boat launch, a few picnic tables and clean bathrooms. A nice place to sit and watch birds, Eagles are a common sight. If you your looking to feed seagulls this is a good spot, also Landing Park.
