Oh the Francesinha… Yes you have to try it, and for many locals, this small place on Rua da Alegria is the best one! The potato chips are homemade, the sauce is brilliant, and the ingredients are of excellent quality. Go early because although it’s not usually crowded, it doesn’t have a lot of tables.

This tiny but excellent Francesinha restaurant is owned by two very friendly and professional persons. Dona Lurdes is extremely gracious and will be your host and Chef Fernando has many years of experience and being a perfectionist, a great meal with quality ingredients is not only expected but also guaranteed.

Oh the Francesinha...Yes you have to try it and for me the best one I've tried (and I've tried many, I'm a fan) is at this small place at Rua da Alegria. The potato chips are home made, the sauce is brilliant and the ingredients are excellent quality. Go early because although it's not usually crowded it doesn't have a lot of tables.
