My absolutely FAV night spot. GREAT live Jazz Good Drinks (not watered down) Filled with both Locals and Tourist who seem come back so often they feel like locals themselves. Germaine's Kitchen upstairs serves yummy local favorite like Reds Bean & Rice, Smothered Cabbage w/ Pork chop,” mmmmmm” not just your typical bar food. Be sure to let the owner Julius that you staying at Charles’ House.

Classy local joint for music and cocktails. Definitely off the tourist track.

Less than half a mile from the cottage, this club offers live music from some of New Orleans' top musicians. On any given evening patrons might be able to catch performances by Joe Dyson, Clarence Johnson, Roderick Paulin, or Delfeayo Marsalis.
