In Nordvegen Historiesenter you will hear the story of how Avaldsnes became Norway's oldest royal seat. You meet Harald Hårfagre who introduces you to the rulers who sat and controlled the Norwegian coast from Avaldsnes - both before and after his time. We know some of these rulers from royal sagas, heroic sagas and old poems. Others we know from archeology.
