Historic neighborhood, home to the Bunker Hill Monument, the Naval Yard, and the ship the USS Constitution. Quite a few tourists here but the vibe is laid back and it's nice to stroll along the waterfront. If you want to experience Charlestown like a local, try this: Bike over from the AirBnb (get a blue bike in Inman Square). Then go sailing. At Courageous Sailing (a non profit sailing organization that teaches kids to sail) you can book a 2 hour sail in the Boston harbor and enjoy views of Boston from the water. Afterwards, have a drink or dinner by the waterfront.

Forget what you saw in the movie, "The Town". This is a really charming place to visit. Check out the Bunker Hill monument, shop on Main Street, follow the Freedom Trail, and stop by Warren Tavern.
