Snuggle up by the wood-burning fireplace in this cosy 'cottage/chalet style' sanctuary nestled within a peaceful walled oasis, just a few minutes from Lancaster town centre. It's remarkably light and airy inside, thanks to white paneling and skylights. Help yourself to a nice glass of bubbles and take in the spectacular close up views of Lancaster Castle from the window seat, whilst you plan your days ahead. Draw a hot bath in a copper tub big enough for 2 (with Castle View's very own homemade lavender bubble bath) before climbing in to the exceptionally comfortable 'secret bedroom'. Quaint on the outside. Quirky on the inside. Inside Castle View, the secret bedroom and bathroom are a real surprise and simply luxurious! Everything is kitted out with your complete comfort in mind. A giant copper bath for 2 people, a king size natural mattress with 400 thread count Egyptian cotton bed linen, Smeg fridge/freezer and a giant 'Loaf' sofa to sink into in front of the wood burner. The flat screen TV can be positioned to watch from the living room, 'secret' bedroom or bathroom. Insulation and remote control blackout blinds throughout the property ensure a peaceful nights sleep. The property is detached from our home and has it's own parking space. We're around in person or by text to help in any way that we can - although we completely understand that many guests will want to keep themselves to themselves. :) Just a minutes walk from Lancaster Castle, 3 minutes walk from Lancaster train station and a 4 minute, breath taking walk to the shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, yet situated in a peaceful walled oasis in the heart of historic Lancaster Castle Conservation area. Whether you want a romantic retreat or a comfortable base to explore the North West - the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales & Manchester Airport are all about an hour away. Parking space a few strides from the cottage. Getting around could not be easier! The property has it's own parking space. The train station really is 2 minutes walk away from the property gates. Simply wheel your case straight up from the platform. No need for a taxi! By train, Manchester airport is a direct 1 hour 15 train journey away. Oxenholme (The Lake District) 12 mins. Delightful seaside towns such as Silverdale and Arnside 15/20 mins away. Yorkshire Dales 30 minutes. Morecambe 10 minutes. There are frequent direct trains to Edinburgh and London that take just under 2.5 hours. There are cycle tracks on our doorstep to picturesque riverside locations and seaside villages and towns. We are less than 10 minutes walk away to the bus station. Children aged 8 years and upwards are welcome. Feel free to bring your own dry logs and kindling - or buy a basket from us for £10. This year we are giving 10% of our turnover to LDHAS (Lancaster & District Homeless Action Service). So your stay at Castle View will help to support the less fortunate in our community.

The Old Farm Office at Cronkshaw Fold Farm

Curl up in front of the fire in our self-catering hut located next to our quiet, private farm lane. Enjoy panoramic views over the valley. Relax in the hammock on the veranda, snuggle up on the sofa in front of the fire, cosy up in bed under the feather duvet lit with fairy lights. Private hot tub available for hire for an additional £42. Book farm tours with hot buttered toast and dippy eggs, goat hang out experiences, bee keeping experiences or venture off on one of the many local trails.

The Chicken Shed at Knowle Top was newly built in 2019 on the ruins of an old barn and decorated to the highest standards of industrial chic. Situated in a most unique location, high on the Ribble Valley side of Lancashire’s iconic Pendle Hill, it sits surrounded by sheep pastures where hare and fox come to say good-night. Despite this rural idyll, we’re only a five minute car drive from Clitheroe, one of the North-West’s nicest market towns. The views will take your breath away!

We are just 30 minutes from the Lake District, Hillside Hut is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Woodburner, kitchenette, king size bed and seating all fit perfectly inside. A separate private luxury shower hut including a toilet, sink & shower Outside; enjoy a fire pit, bbq and wood fired hot tub with views of fields

Ginger Hut, Lancaster

Our wooden cabin is tucked within Patty’s Barn, a family-run coastal retreat on the Morecambe Bay coast near Lancaster. Walk straight onto the coastal path from your door and enjoy wide open views and sunsets. The cabin sleeps up to 4 guests and features a cosy open-plan living space with a fire. The kitchen and bathroom facilities are fully equipped and located just a few steps away (around 10 seconds).

Sandvilla grill hut

Gorgeous BBQ grill hut with double bed, in and outdoor seating area, and grill entertainment area set in a wooded area on our family small holding and small glamping site. Private toilet, shower and utility sink block with hot water. (Bed sheets and kitchen/hand towels provided- *******please bring own shower towels) We have alpacas, sheep and chickens and guests are welcome to help feed them.
