My son and his family stayed at Andrew’s property while they were visiting us from Australia. It is a fabulous property. Clean, comfortable and, with the log burner going, very cosy. Very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Very comfy beds and the little ones loved the bunk beds. Lots of little extras including books, games, logs for the fire and even a BBQ. Ideally situated with shops, cafes and the local market all within walking distance. The railway station is nearby and and the M6 less than 5 minutes drive. Andrew responded to a couple of minor queries almost immediately. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending and would definitely use again.

Lovely place to stay was just unsure on the central heating but we switched it to auto and it came on at 6am didn’t really no how to use it shop nearby for all ur essential bits will definitely stay again thanks Carrie x

Fabulous stay. We loved the house (which was accurately described). It was perfect for me and my family. We loved making breakfast and dinner in the huge kitchen. Would love to stay again when in the area.

Fabulous house, huge bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, very comfortable lounge. Beautifully decorated. We had a wonderful stay. Easy to find parking on the street outside. Country walks from the town, or short drives to the Tolkien Trail which is a fantastic 3 hour walk with a pub at the start and end. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at Joanne’s place, we were visiting family and the home was perfectly placed to see them. We loved the attention to detail and homely touches. We didn’t get to use the log burner but that was particularly appreciated by everyone in our party, the beds were very comfortable and we slept very well for our short stay. I hope we will be back again in the future, thanks Joanne for hosting us.

Loved our stay at this house. Pictures don't do it justice with the house much bigger than it looks. Very accessible location with only a 5 minute walk to the front of Lytham and it's beautiful windmill. 10 minute walk from the house will also take you right into the main street in the town where there are loads of cafes, pubs and shops. Helen was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We loved every minute of our Easter break.

Great house for extended family gathering. Quiet location with easy access to the city and nearby parks and cafes (& the fabulous Lark St) Ample street parking. House stylishly decorated and stocked with tea/proper coffee and everything required in a working kitchen. Very pleasant outdoor courtyard area perfect for morning coffee in the sun! (& there was sun!!)

We have just returned from a one night stay at this gem of a place in St Helens where we were visiting family..It is very clean and well equipped for all a family’s needs with lots of little extras provided(shampoo/shower gel etc) we were more than comfortable in the house and wouldn’t hesitate to book again..We know our way around the town very well but for people visiting who do not it is in a great location for access to nearby attractions

Lovely spacious ground floor apartment in a gated Georgian Building full of character. I stayed with a female friend and we felt safe and secure at all times and the bonus of parking for two cars is a rare find in Clitheroe. The welcome goods on arrival plus milk in the fridge were a nice touch too. I am familiar with Clitheroe as I shop there but have never stayed overnight but would do again definitely as there are lots of good places to eat and drink such as Holmes Mill, The Emporium and Wills Restaurant to name but a few. Also some nice independent shops too. My friend is from Scotland and she cant wait to return. There are also several excellent restaurants a short drive from Clitheroe too. The Ribble Valley offers lots to explore and some great scenery. Well worth a visit is the Melt Candle company in Waddington which is a ten minutes drive away. Tina is a great host and happy to help with anything and keeps in touch with you. I would definitely recommend you stay here.

Had such a wonderful stay at Racheals place felt so at home and Rachel was so responsive to anything we asked beautifully furnished and sooooo comfortable to loved every minute of our stay over Easter with family and we hosted our Easter Sunday dinner as the place was so well equipped thank you for making us so welcome

The flat was gorgeous, lush soft carpets, warm, bright, gorgeous decor and interesting books to peruse. Jane really has her eye in with hospitality and there were cookies and tea, a whole bottle of proper milk and orange juice. Lots of lovely touches that made it feel like a home from home. The location is quiet overlooking the Mersey river, which is tidal and turns into a beach in the morning! Its a short walk to the ferry over to Liverpool (if its running) or bus to train /taxi ride over to all the attractions. I would highly recommend this apartment and we enjoyed the quiet away from the city too. Thank you Jane!

A beautiful home from home at The Beach House. we loved our stay. it was clean, comfortable, cosy and well equipped. A beautiful beach on the doorstep with the amazing Another Place. A short walk to the train station and direct into Liverpool in 20 minutes. perfect. Thank you Lynn.

Perfect for our weekend. The accommodation was perfect, in fact we were taken back with how there cupboards were full off useful things…. Condiments, sauces, toiletries and that’s just a few I can mention. Appreciated the milk, bread, butter, nice gesture and makes a difference to some places who don’t offer that. Host also helped us out when our car broke down whilst we were there and went above and beyond to help sort it out for us. Overall the place was lovely, more than I actually expected, clean, tidy and perfect. Would definitely stay again if ever visiting Wigan. Thank you

What can we say other than what a great find….. well that’s just the start, Deborah was a lovely host, the place was beautiful, spotless and very conveniently located for the beach, town and other local amenities. On top of that we could take our dog……

Ed’s place is perfectly situated in the gorgeous historic setting of Hamilton Square which has a train station and ferry port taking you into the city in minutes! Ed’s place is right at the top but the views are so worth the climb! Bedding and towels beautifully clean, fresh and plentiful and furnishings are comfy and non-pretentious so you feel right at home. Ed is an attentive host, providing all you need after a long drive (sorry we didn’t eat the eggs!). He left out a parking permit for us and access was easy. Nearby Wetherspoons does a great brekkie and a walk around Woodside murals are lovely and views spectacular across the river. Nearby New Brighton, Vale Park, Birkenhead Park and Priory are worth visiting as well as is the city of Liverpool itself. Only thing we missed was a dining table but honestly that’s the only recommendation I can think of! Thanks so much Ed, we will be back 😊

This was a repeat visit. The accomodation is very homely. Kitchen is well equipped and nice little touches like tea, coffee and milk were provided. Buses are reliable, for a small village the local shops etc are very good. The only thing missing was the Fleetwood ferry, not running this time of year. We have enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend to others.
