It was lovely to meet Alice and David and to spend time with them round the breakfast table. They are sensitive to people's need for privacy but are also present for help or a chat. Received excellent recommendations from them. The place itself is very homely and clean, with beautiful surroundings. On occasion we returned to our room during the day to take shelter from the rain and rest; it was a very welcoming and private space. A perfect AirBnB experience.

Wij hebben hier overnacht als tussenstop op onze reis naar Isle of Skye. Prachtig verblijf. Alles is er aanwezig wat je nodig hebt. Super fijne bedden, een bad en lekker ontbijtsnacks. Ideaal dus voor ons als gezin. Verder prima communicatie! Zeker waard dus om een keer te gaan logeren.

Great thanks to Anne for hosting us! The place is terrific — quiet, clean, well-decorated, and most importantly, full of passion to life. I have to say that Anne is no wonder a “SUPER HOST”. She is very responsive and ready to help. Last, the delicious Scottish breakfast is unforgettable as well.

Ethna was a most amazing host, friendly without intruding but with lots of helpful information. Homemade goodies for afternoon tea and breakfast, the jams and marmalades were amazing also the biscuits, breads and everything else. Beautiful location, would have happily watched the sheep, lambs and chickens for hours from the comfort of the dining room in front of the wood fire. Comfortable bedroom with ensuite bathroom. Peaceful and rural. We loved it.

We had a fantastic stay with Graham and Natasha, they have an incredible space with breathtaking views and wonderful facilities. Everything about the area is done to a very high standard, from the decor to the breakfast. They were exceptional hosts, and I'll leave the final word to my Mum who described this stay as 'a little slice of heaven'!

Wow, what a wonderful find! We felt right at home from the moment we met Katja and were introduced to her home. David and Katja were wonderful hosts and we can't thank them enough for making our stay so special and memorable. We hope to keep in touch. Their local knowledge is extensive and our walking trips were just perfect as a result. The breakfasts set you up for the day and the quality of the ingredients plus the homemade jams, tahini and honey are such a treat! The hospitality and kindness too extended to Katja lending me several pairs of her shoes as my feet were suffering in my walking boots and needed a rest. I left with happy feet!! We were travelling on foot and via public transport and this is possible with a little resourcefulness and the invaluable knowledge of the hosts. We ate out in the evenings at the two nearest restaurants. In addition the location is idyllic and warrants time exploring it. We truly hope to be back one day. Thank you both so much for everything.

Thoroughly enjoyed my two-week stay. Jennet was the consummate host: Friendly and attentive, with breakfast in the morning. Beautiful flat within easy walking distance of downtown Edinburgh. I had a wonderful stay at Ornum Cottage, a charming bed and breakfast near Beauly and close to Inverness. The peaceful and scenic surroundings made it a perfect retreat, and the location was ideal for exploring both the countryside and the city. The cottage was cozy, clean, and well-equipped, with a delicious breakfast that added a special touch to the stay. The hosts were attentive and provided helpful information, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. I highly recommend Ornum Cottage for anyone looking for a tranquil escape with easy access to Inverness.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und konnten vor dem Check-In bereits unser Gepäck abladen. Wir wurden mit Tee und Kaffee versorgt und das Frühstück wurde uns aufs Zimmer gebracht. Gute Lage, um zum Loch bei Finlaggan zu wandern, die Whiskydestillerien Caol Ila und Bu nahaiban zu besuchen und an der Fähre in Port Askaig im Hotelrestaurant essen zu gehen.

Really clean and spacious room in a bed and breakfast near the Loch. There are nice cafes and restaurants within a couple of minutes walk and som fantastic walking trails. The room is nice and big, and the bathroom, while on a separate floor, is quite large and properly appointed. A nice breakfast is served in the morning and Juliet is very friendly!

What an absolute delight. Lorna is the perfect host, with a good eye for what guests need to make them feel welcome and “at home”. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sithean and would 100% recommend it to others.

Ms Rebecca, her husband, her dad and their friend Tim were the best people ever! We had a lot of fun in their company. They gave us lots of recommendations for what to see and where to eat. The room was spotless, cozy and comfortable. Breakfasts were awesome and there were lots of options of what you wanted to it. We loved it there, so thank you for having us! 😊

Wir waren 3 Nächte bei Carol und haben uns gleich sehr heimisch gefühlt. Die Lage ist einmalig. Ein sehr ruhiger Ort, wo Schaafe und Kühe über die Straßen laufen. Carol ist sehr freundlich, gab uns gute Tipps und zauberte uns jeden Morgen ein fantastisches Frühstück. So macht Airbnb einfach nur Spaß. Udo und Uschi aus der Säubrennerstadt Wittlich, in Deutschland.

Susan and Derry are legends! If we could give them and their beautiful mountain view home 10 stars, we would! Their warmth and grace went above and beyond even the best Scottish hospitality, which says a lot. The homemade Scottish breakfasts were to die for. The room and the bed especially were so comfortable and truly every detail was considered in making our stay perfect. We cant wait to visit again!

We had an amazing time at Fay’s yurt, both her and Jamie were super helpful and very friendly, they made us feel very welcome and explained everything to us on arrival while showing us around as well as giving us some tips of places to visit nearby. They were attentive and there to help us when we needed but also gave us privacy. The yurt itself is unreal, really clean and tidy with everything we needed inside and the log fire was great, made the place so cosy. The walled garden is absolutely beautiful and the 3 friendly goats were a real highlight for us, we went to see them every morning! The kitchen and bathroom areas were well stocked and clean, it was great to have access to them both and made our stay really comfortable. The surrounding areas are also stunning, a truly special place if you’re looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing to stay. It’s well situated for visiting the places we wanted to go. We would love to go back, thank you for having us! ❤️

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Carole. La chambre, le petit salon sont très chaleureux, décorés avec goût, cosy ! la vue sur le jardin est bucolique avec les oiseaux, les écureuils, les fleurs... enfin le petit-déjeuner est très copieux et varié ! Un grand merci à Carole et son mari pour leur accueil et leurs conseils touristiques !

Saltwater chronicles is an outstanding property . Everything you need is provided. The house is beautiful, private and has stunning views. The bedrooms are beautifully designed, beds are comfortable and each room has its own bathroom. The estate has lovely walks and the coastal walks are stunning. Great service and communication from the team at Dunskey. I would highly recommend

Joyce et Allan proposent des logements dans leur maison, posée en haut d'une jolie colline. Tout y est incroyable, la vue, la quiétude des lieux, leur accueil, leur gentillesse et leur prévenance, le confort de la chambre, le petit-déjeuner et leurs animaux. Petit détail à l'attention des voyageurs qui viendraient sans voiture, prévoir 20 minutes à pied depuis la station de bus. Merci beaucoup pour avoir contribué à rendre ce séjour dans les Highlands inoubliable.

Wonderful stay at Jessica’s. She is responsive, gives good recs and in an ideal location if you’re looking to be not directly in the city center. Still quite walkable , and quieter - can hear the birds gently chirping at night :) Price is also very reasonable given how expensive hotels were at this time of the season. There are rules but that’s to be expected when you stay at someone’s private home. Jessica tries her absolute best to make you feel welcomed. Tack så mycket.
