Until the Columbia Tower was built, this was the tallest building in Seattle. Captain Ivar of the locally famous seafood restaurants used to make it his headquarters. This lovely vintage building has the Chinese Room upstairs with a balcony wrapped around it, and the last time I worked there in the 90's it had local government offices with elevators manned by bellhops in uniform and who you shouted at to take you "Up!" or "Down!"
