An easy, scenic hike with beautiful views at the top.
A 34-acre Botanical Garden, which holds about 13,000 species of plants. Redwoods are impressive on their own, but to have rare rhododendrons and magnolias set underneath them is something that no other garden can reproduce. Other gardens in the area have redwood groves, but none have integrated them so naturally with botanical wonders from across the globe! Big leaved rhododendrons, evergreen magnolias, tropical gingers, palm trees, waterfalls and bridges all under a redwood canopy should be the envy of all botanical gardens!

Went to see the Old Masters exhibit, the museum is right by the BART station, easy commute from San Francisco. Beautiful building, and I liked to see lots of places to sit and rest a little. It stands out as one of the best! Each and every exhibit is outstanding and the space is beautiful. Not too big/overwhelming so perfect for an afternoon. Great cafe at the top too. Highly recommend!

Connected to the Cesar E Chavez Park to the North, the Berkeley Marina is an excellent spot to run, walk, or include as part of your East Bay bike tour. Centered on the Berkeley Marina with its myriad boating opportunities, there are also hotels, restaurants, shops and picnicking opportunities.. This is one of the best spots in the East Bay to watch the sunset and you can park right on the the bay's edge and watch from the comfort of your car. Love this place!

Very close. Opens at 7 AM. Fast service, friendly staff, good coffee and good pastries. I highly recommend the almond croissant or the cake donuts. Always a fast moving line, which is a good sign. I bring my own cup, because I'm not into plastic tops.

The food is amazing. The cocktails are unique and yummy. It also somehow feels private while being festive (the music they play makes you want to dance).
