Food is local, fresh, simple but impossibly delicious.. The clientele is an easy mix of locals and tourists, servers speak good English and they are kind and helpful in explaining choices. Reasonable but interesting and excellent wines; house wine is good as well. Try onion stuffed with Pecorino cheese, wild boar ragout or Pici pasta with Parmesan and black pepper.

With an area of 45,000 square metres (11 acres) at 200 mts from Ponte Vecchio is more than a garden, more than just a “green lung” in Florence, the Boboli gardens are one of the greatest open-air museums in Florence. The park hosts centuries-old oak trees, sculptures, fountains and offers peaceful shelter from the warm Florentine sun in summer, the beautiful colors of the changing foliage in the fall and smells of blooming flowers in the spring. The building of the Park began in 1563, under the rule of Cosimo I de' Medici, as a farming and hunting estate of the Medici family, ruling the city of Florence since 1434. The very name of the Park derives from the ancient Italian word "cascio", meaning bovine livestock, mainly intended for the production of butter and cheese.
