The best way to combine art (this church is fabulous), panoramas and walking along the narrow streets to enjoy the park around piazzale Michelangelo and to see beautiful villas

Probably the best sunset view in town. Standing atop one of the highest points in Firenze, it is one of the finest Romanesque structures in Tuscany and one of the most scenic and old (1000 yrs) churches in Italy.

“Porta Romana is the southernmost city Gate; it is located at the confluence between Via dei Serragli and Via Romana and is still today one of the most important access points to the centre. ”

“In the heart of Florence, near the Ponte Vecchio, stands the church of Santo Stefano al Ponte, one of the oldest churches of Florence. Used as well as a fabulous event venue, you can partake in wonderful concerts. The lower part of the facade dates back to 1233 and retains Romanesque elements, while the upper part was rebuilt during the Gothic renewal. The interior was renovated during the Baroque period. It is full of stunning works of art and decoration, including the beautiful staircase by Buontalenti, with a marble balustrade, built in 1574. Numerous paintings also remain from the Renaissance period.”
