I love this restaurant for its wood-fired pizzas and family-style pastas and salads. It offers great quality and price, and is a great spot to escape the hubbub of downtown!

I love walking through the Gardens and looking for native plants. There is a stream that runs through the property, and several open grassy areas for lounging about or reading a book.

One of Asheville's original breweries, and incredibly convenient to the house, Highland has a great tasting room that is accessible to all ages. Kids can play, Adults can relax and listen to music too

Another one of the earliest breweries, and the first one in our neighborhood! I love the ambiance of the tasting room and that it's tucked away just down the road.

I love to walk and bike at the Estate. I highly recommend blocking the majority of a day for a visit, because it is wonderful to be able to relax and wander around the grounds.

Well-Bred originally started in Weaverville and is known for their quality of goods. An incredible addition to Biltmore Village, and just a few miles from the house.

A great example of jewels tucked in unexpected places! Good atmosphere, and just a hop, skip & jump from the French Broad Brewery--both a 15 minute walk from the house.

I love walking along the creek on the first trail you see after passing through the gates at the Arboretum. Their gardens are beautiful and a great way to enjoy the outdoors close to town.

This location is the original shop, and very close to the house. Wonderful flavor selections, with sorbets, gelato, and soy ice creams as well! Hands-down the best ice cream in town!
