Sightseeing

Zion is the most gorgeous, popular hiking in warm southern utah. If you love to hike, this is a great place to visit within an hour drive of our cottage. Avid hikers I recommend Angel's Landing and the Subway hike. Less intense, Emerald Pools and Weeping Rock. Check their website for shuttle reservations and permits for certain hikes.

A beautiful drive up Cedar Canyon will take you to this must see National Park. It is a little cooler temps than Zion. The Wildflower festival in the late summer and fall is incredible! Enjoy hiking trails and biking trails. Snow shoeing and snowmobiling in the winter. Search up rental shops. Duck Creek Days in the summer is always a fun outing near Bryce Canyon.

Breathtaking water falls! The hike is through cold melt off water. Plan to get wet up to your thighs. Also be super respectful about your trash and potty spots. This is the towns drinking water supply. It is on permit basis and is about a 15 min drive from Cedar City.

Free pre-show

The green show is a free, interactive, outdoor show to liven the crowd prior to the plays. Held in summer early evenings outside the Shakespeare Festival on University Ave Cedar City. Great for all ages!

Kindness is King

If people wave at you, wave back, it's a small town and that how they say HI. Use your manners, say please and thank you. Tip generously, wages are low in this area and servers are hard to find so please level up when possible. Don't talk politics or religion, there is alot of new diversity in our town and those are topics are sensitive. People drive a little different here so dont be in too much of a hurry. Overall just be kind and considerate. Thank you.
