Bryndis and her family were wonderful hosts the place was close to some restaurants and the water. It is located in a peaceful section of Reykjavik and a great home base for activities around the capital. It is clean, spacious and the hosts were very responsive.

A fantastic homely place to stay with our family including teenage grandchildren. Great local supermarket and bus service which meant we didn't need a car. Superb views including across the bay to see the erupting volcano! The BBQ and the hot tub were fabulous as was the weather. Outdoor living was just as good as indoors. Everything we needed in the kitchen was available including a well stocked fridge on our arrival. Plenty bedding and towels to facilitate changing everything during our stay.

We had an unforgettable stay at this Airbnb property in Vogar. The house was impeccably clean, spacious, and fully equipped with everything we needed, including a full kitchen, comfortable living areas fireplace, washer/dryer, and lovely deck overlooking the water. The location was stunning—remote yet offering breathtaking views of the sunset, black sand beach, mountains and we even saw the northern lights on three of the four nights we stayed. Ólafur the host was incredibly communicative and thoughtful. After long days of exploring Iceland’s natural beauty, relaxing in the hot tub was a perfect way to unwind. This was truly one of the best stays we’ve ever had, and we look forward to returning and recommending this property to friends. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic, and comfortable Icelandic getaway that is centrally located. 15 minutes from the airport and Blue Lagoon, 35 minutes to Reykjavík, and easily accessible to the highway for road trips. Un très beau pied à terre, à 10 minutes à pied de la mer où on a fait un feu pour faire griller des shamallows. 20 minutes de Reykjavik, autant dire à côté. Et puis la maison est bien organisée, ordonnée, les chambres sont spacieuses. Le service en plus d'avoir des serviettes de bain et du shampooing permet de ne pas charger les valises. Le quartier est calme. Au top!

The apartment was a perfect base for a week of exploring the West of Iceland. It is located on a beautiful peninsula which was peaceful to walk around in the evenings, whilst being close enough to the centre of Reykjavik to be able to easily explore. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean, modern and comfortable. Thura was a very responsive host, replying quickly to any messages. We would definitely recommend the apartment to others.

Our family of 5 (3 pre-teens / teenagers) did an IcelandAir stopover for just a couple of days. This BnB was in a great location close to the airport and the city. The home itself was wonderful and easily accommodated us. We especially enjoyed the hot tub. Elisa provided amazing recommendations for things to do and local places to eat. I wish we had more time to spend in this wonderful country. When we come back, we hope Elisa and her family will host us again!

Beautiful apartment. Really good communication with the host, she replied to all messages very quickly. Brilliant information prior to arrival. The flat is spotlessly clean, well equipped and warm. You can walk into Reykjavik in about 40 minutes - maybe quicker if you’re not stopping to take in the views! Bakery about 10-15 min walk and a supermarket. All perfect, loved this place.

Lovely place if you are looking for some peace and quiet. It’s also a good location to see the Northern Lights - they were right above us!

Elisabet is responsive to our queries and offered fast solutions to the things we needed. Location is ideal to DIY hunting Northern Lights at the Grotto lighthouse. It is in a quiet neighborhood and we loved it. We get into the city center by bus, and only for restaurants and groceries. Lunch/Dinner at the restaurant near the lighthouse is a hidden gem.

A beautiful apartment with great views. It was extremely well appointed with everything you could possibly need. Lots of space. Easy bus ride into the city centre with the bus stop very close by. Tea, coffee and chocolate a lovely touch. Thank you Maria!

We had an amazing time at Geir’s family home! This was an incredible place to spend the new year and we would absolutely return! The location is perfect. We were able to walk outside the city lights a short distance to get an amazing view of the northern lights. A designated lookout is also a short car ride away. Plus, downtown Reykjavík is a short car or bus ride away! It could also be a good walk for those who like to hike.

We had a great stay! A short drive to downtown and near the lighthouse, we were close to plenty of things to do. Would definitely recommend.

Þurfti gistingu vegna brúðkaupsveislu. Við vorum einar í húsinu og leið pínu eins og heima hjá okkur. Við nýttum okkur fátt nema rúmið og baðherbergið en allt var til fyrirmyndar. Við vinkonurnar mælum með þessari gistingu. Við fundum hvergi betra verð heldur.

This is a spectacular and large apartment in a beautiful residential neighborhood. The views alone are enough to recommend it, but the overall place was spacious, clean, and comfortable for our family group of 4 adults and 2 teens. I would definitely recommend a car. The neighborhood is safe and walkable, but at least 20 minutes on foot to most things, and the wind was very cold at night. We did not try the bus, but all neighbors in the area were driving and we were very happy we had booked a car. With a car, it was super easy to get around Reykjavik and leave the city for day trips. On street parking by the apartment was easy to find and free. My mom asked me to leave a note that this is not a rental, but a home, so there are lots of personal items throughout the house and limited spaces to unpack. She also warns against people who might not be aware that it is a walk up unit. My teens loved the very affectionate cat, who made it feel like home.

The location was excellent, with a nearby bakery and grocery store. The host was incredibly helpful, and her guidebook was a wonderful addition. I had a wonderful stay!

Gunnhildur is a great host, we felt very well and very welcome! The flat is not only comfortable but also well equipped and really fancy. To communicate with Gunnhildur was very easy, she answered nearly immediately. It was a great experience for us, thank you that we could enjoy this fabulous place!!!

Inga's home was just as described and immaculate. She was friendly and responded promptly to any questions. She was very helpful when our flight was 10 hours late. There was no question on how to operate appliances, as she left a detailed guide. We would definitely choose Inga's place again if we return to Iceland.
