Thank you to the wonderful, responsive host for letting us get inside early ahead of a big storm he informed us about. The cottage was one of the most charming rentals we’ve ever had and was well stocked with quality amenities and supplies. The floor to ceiling windows were perfect for watching the storms, the horses, and the night sky. We loved every minute of our time there, made some incredible family memories, and appreciated coming “home” each day to such a cozy cottage.

We had a wonderful time at Rakel's and Stefán's beautiful cottage. The place was spotless and serene. No neighbours around (except for birds and horses) but the cottage was still quite near services. Would definitely recommend!

Great place to be when exploring the South Coast. The cabin is in a hill and thoughtfully decorated. It snowed while we were there and the space made us feel at home. We were able to cook our breakfast with a beautiful panoramic view. The bonus is petting their horses. Overall, an amazing experience! Highly recommended!

Excellent, responsive host. We had an issue with the hot water on Christmas day. He came out and fixed the problem within a half hour. Great location to Vik and Selfoss. Private and quiet, except for the howling winds. Great restaurant close by. Highly reconmend.

My family's favourite stay on our Iceland roadtrip! The cabin was beautifully decorated and we loved the rural farm location. We enjoyed a stunning sunset and even got a glimpse of the northern lights.

Es fehlt der Unterkunft an nichts, sehr schöne Lage, viele Natur Spektakel sind schnell mit dem Auto erreichbar, Polarlichter konnten wir vom beheizten Pool aus sehen und der Gastgeber hat immer schnell geantwortet. Wir waren zu viert und waren allesamt sehr zufrieden.

Kids enjoyed the most because of the PlayStation .We loved the cute radio playing in the morning during breakfast and the coffee machine was perfect ! We were very comfortable in your house . House was perfect for a family of 4. Also loved the attractions folder . We enjoyed the Mexican food from the food truck company and the ice creams from the local shop. Watched a nice movie together last night . Was home away from home . Thanks a lot .

Perfect, best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. Cabin was exactly as described and how it appears in the photos. Was spotlessly clean too. The kids loved the mezzanine bedroom and we slept pretty well in ours too. Bathroom was good, great shower. Fully appointed kitchen which was handy as we ate in on a couple of nights given how remote the property is. Lovely double height living and dining space, great views and we saw the Northern lights too. Jona was very friendly at check in and gave us lots of helpful advice and recommendations. Great base to explore the golden circle, south coast, glaciers and waterfalls. Supermarkets and restaurants in Selfoss not too far away. Pretty close to the Secret Lagoon too! Loved it. If we come back to Iceland I know where we’ll stay!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, die Wohnung, vorallem das Schlafzimmer war größer und schöner als es auf den Bildern wirkte. Es ist unglaublich leise und ungestört dort - perfekt um runterzukommen! Die zwei Hunde, die zum Hof gehören sind sehr süß und freundlich. Aber selbst wenn man Angst vor Hunden hat, wäre das kein Problem, die Hunde sind keinesfalls aufdringlich etc. Besonders beeindruckend fanden wir den schwarz-weißen Hund, welcher immer wieder den gleichen Stein unter Tausenden schwarzen Steinen wiederfinden konnte und einem diesen dann auf den Schuh gelegt hat - ein entzückendes Highlight!

Thank you so much to Veronique for giving us such a warm, cosy, comfortable place to stay. Very peaceful, quiet, lots of parking and amazing sunsets. Everything was perfect; kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed, it was very very clean and Veronique was 100% responsive very quickly with any questions we had. The location is also perfect because positioned just off the main road from Reykjavik/Selfoss to all the attractions on the way to Vik and further east. We would heartily recommend Veronique and her lovely property to anyone staying in the south of Iceland.

Amazing place. We sat in the hottub at night with - 10 degrees while it was pitch black. A moment we will never forget. The place looked even better than on the pictures. We cooked at the place two nights, the oven is amazing and all the equipment is there. Linda responded very quick and was very nice. Thank you Linda!!

Lovely apartment with everything we needed. Excellent Ethiopian restaurant which was a little gem to find just beside apartment. Well worth and visit!

We have enjoyed this place, very peaceful and perfectly situated to visit the Golden Circle sites. The housing is quite basic, but sufficient and very comfortable. We recommend this place.

Great place with homey feeling. Perfect parking spots. 30 mins away from the famous Seljalandsfors Waterfall. Supermarket just 2 mins away from the accommodation

The perfect cabin in stunning surroundings! One of our favourite airbnbs in Iceland. Lovely views, well equipped and a good size for our family of 5. I even saw my first ever northern lights!

Great tiny apartment. It's on a residential area but close to different attractions and a supermarket.

Joli logement au sous-sol d'une maison. Un espace cuisine et la cuisine sont indépendants du reste de la maison, et on ne partage que la salle de bain (douche) avec le reste de la maison. La maison se situe dans un espace rural, un peu isolé, mais très joli. C'est un bel endroit où se reposer, calme et authentique, loin des hordes de touristes, ce qui est appréciable. Supermarché et station essence à 10 min en voiture.

Eine Unterkunft in einer wunderschönen und ruhigen Umgebung. Wir haben tagsüber die eindrückliche Natur rundherum genossen, sowie nachts die Nordlichter bestaunt. Die Wohnung war gemütlich und gut eingerichtet.

El alojamiento es muy acogedor y confortable. Estaba muy bien equipado. En mitad del bosque, súper tranquilo. Era lo que buscábamos. Muchas gracias!!

Gorgeous location. Very very helpful, they even plowed some of the snow for us when we got caught in a snow storm and calmed us so much. Great assistance and quickly provided. Having an actual dryer was so great, plus lots of radiators about the house to dry also. Washer and dryer is outside (can be important during winter time). Lots of amenities in kitchen, but no dishwasher. Trash sorters not inside, may be hard to sort the compostable from not-compostable without a bag. Small inconveniences, would stay again for sure.
