The Copper Hide is a unique escape at Arth Valley Retreat on the west coast of Wales. This old dairy milking parlour was converted into accommodation some years ago but has recently (2024) benefited from a complete makeover. Our family bought the house in 1963, and three generations have enjoyed holidays here, escaping from the hustle and bustle of modern life. The house is comfortable and homely rather than boutique. Perfect if you want to get fit as it is up a steep hill, but within walking distance of New Quay's beaches, shops and eating places, it is also a 5 minute walk to the Ceredigion Coastal Path.

Situated on a quiet road in between the sea side town of New Quay and Llanarth, our cabin is close enough to be by the sea in 5 minutes but without the crowds. The Cabin is situated at the end of our drive, with it's own parking area and a small private garden offering a sea view and is the perfect place to watch a beautiful sunset in peace and quiet. Inside, the cabin offers a living space perfect for a couples retreat to get away and unwind.

Wildernest - Ty Twt

Ty Twt - neat and cosy - is part of Wildernest, a haven set in the coastal hills above the delightful Aeron Valley. Sleeping is in the croglofft, above the kitchen-living space, with the 2nd bedroom and the shower room at ground level; underfloor heating and log burner. It can sleep 4 but we say 3 people comfortably. Hence, there's no charge for a fourth person. If you need the second bed to be made up please enter 3 (or 4) guests.

Wake up to sea views and the whole of Cardigan Bay with our Stargazer Tents. Perfectly situated to take full advantage of the stunning view, New Quay is on only a short 15 minute walk away on the coastal path. Each tent has a wood fired hot tub, a wood burning stove and its own private toilet and shower. The King size bed sleeps 2 adults and there are bunk beds that are ideal for kids.
