We had a wonderful stay at Tern House - spacious, bright, clean and calming. We were a large group, travelling from all corners of the UK, and subsequently had 5 vehicles. We were contacted about this as the host saw us on the ring doorbell, stating their concern that the outside of the house looked like a car park. One of our guests brought two well behaved collies who didn’t step foot inside the property though this was also viewed on the camera and brought to our attention that the host was utilising their ability to observe our presence at the property. I do understand the need to ensure rules are followed, but we did feel a little monitored after being both called and emailed about the matter. Nevertheless we had a wonderful stay at Tern House. It was clean, bright, spacious and a beautiful spot to host a gathering of friends. It would be the hope that paying nearly £2k for an AirBnb would come with a level of trust that guests follow house rules, however.

We had a wonderful stay! The house has everything you and is vey clean. The views are beautiful. We enjoyed watching the sheep go by in their daily trek For the days you just want to relax there is an extensive library with something for everyone. We highly recommend!

Wonderful stay. Well situated to expore North and South UIst, with lovely cafe, fish shop, and wool shop, within easy access. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Very thoughtfully, and tastefully, furnished and equipped. Lovely views of the loch, and very entertaining sheep wandering by. Robin and Michelle couldn't have been more helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our break in their beautiful cottage.

Clean, spacious, warm and quiet home on a quiet residential road. The property overlooks a loch joining the sea and is great for calm and quiet. Mac was very responsive and we had no problems. We loved the space and it was a well equipped kitchen which is not always a given. WiFi was great if you need it and the heating etc was all straightforward and effective. Lovely having two bathrooms too. Near various historic sites. And also pretty beaches (20-30 mins drive), and a lovely play park if you have kids near Eoropie Beach.

Ideal for us attending a wedding in Carloway Free Church and reception in Breasclete Community Centre. House was spotless and well equipped. Very generous welcome basket which included a wee gift for baby in our party so thank you for your thoughtfulness and a lovely stay.

Perfect retreat. Comfortable, peaceful, and restful after a day of trekking on Isle of Skye. Thank you!

Nous avons passé un très bon moment dans la charmante maison d'Ari et Annika ; la déco à la Moonrise Kingdom de Wes Anderson jusque dans les moindres détails et le confort (literie parfaite, cuisine bien équipée, terrasse extérieure...) sont un vrai must. Le pub voisin à 100 mètres est également très sympa et on y mange bien (soupe maison recommandée pour changer du fish and chips) ! De la réservation à notre arrivée, la communication a été très agréable avec Ari et Annika, bienveillants et réactifs... Nous recommandons donc vivement "This must be the place " pour ceux et celles qui souhaitent visiter l'île de Skye tout en profitant d'un endroit "cosy" pour se ressourcer.

Might be the best Airbnb I’ve stayed at. Views galore, location surreal, away from all tourists. Was great having a coffee in the morning watching the sheep and baby cows playing in the front!

We can’t say enough about our stay! Joyce and Brian were so friendly and welcoming! The views from the windows are amazing, we thoroughly enjoyed watching our sheep friends and their antics. The cottage was spotless and well equipped. The location was central to all things Skye and we will definitely be back!!

absolutely beautiful area. plenty of space for kids and dog in garden. sheep visiting often regardless of the gate being closed. house comfy and cozy and warm. bathroom was stunning and plenty of hot water.

My Mum and I had a fantastic weekend in this gorgeous, cosy and ideally located cottage. The cottage itself is beautifully designed and furnished, and very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped, the shower is fabulous, the wood burning stove is just what you need after a day exploring! The location is ideal for visiting the island and the views from the cottage are stunning. A perfect place to relax and explore this beautiful part of the world! We loved it. Can't recommend the cottage highly enough. Julie couldn't have been more helpful. We would definitely return.

The cottage is in an idyllic location and is cleverly laid out to make best use of space Kenneth is a great host and his mussels are superb! We had a great time and stay.

Fiona hat uns herzlich begrüßt. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt im wunderschönen und gemütlichen Fossil Cottage. Die Umgebung ist herrlich, ruhig und naturnah. Man kann die Natur von drinnen beobachten oder vom Cottage aus zu Fuss die atemberaubende nahe Umgebung erkunden.

Great little house in an absolutely gorgeous location—the perfect base for exploring Uist. Rhonda was an excellent host, regularly contacting us with any updates and ensuring that we had everything we needed. Hope to be back soon!

The place was perfect - quiet, well located to explore the best of the island, easy to find, very well equipped. Little touches made us feel welcome and made us feel at home. We then stayed on the Isle of Lewis in what was a higher spec property but it did not have those little touches that made us feel at home. Karen was very helpful and went out of her way to help. We would recommend her place to anyone.
