A lovely, spacious apartment located in a beautiful area. Sparkling clean and easy check-in instructions. Parking was never a problem throughout our 6-night stay. Very responsive if we needed anything. Would highly recommend!

My fiancée, our dog and I stayed with Liz for 3 nights recently. We absolutely adored the property, it was lovely and peaceful, it has wonderful surroundings and it is very peaceful. Liz is a lovely lady, although we didn’t meet with her during our stay, she was always on hand to help us with any questions that we might have had. The property is very modern, very clean and very well equipped. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was fantastic after a day of walking in the sun. Our dog, Mabel, was very happy too. There was plenty of space for her to explore and there is plenty of great walks, such as Ingleton Falls, which isn’t a long drive away. We had no issues with the property, or Liz, and we felt incredibly welcomed. We really appreciate your hospitality and hopefully we will be able to stay with you again in the future. Thank you ever so much again.

Gary was responsive, professional and respectful during our stay. The place was spotless and had all the right amenities for a weekend getaway. The bathroom was a highlight. Super clean and very luxurious. There was also plenty of space for storage and a very simple way to access the building. Shops and parking are also very close-by. I’d very much recommend this place!!!!!!

really lovely place to stay in the Lake District. The accommodation is modern, clean and reasonably spacious (it can sleep 5 but dining table is small and can only fit 4). But the bedrooms are nice with super comfortable beds, and both bathrooms are right next to each bedroom, which is really handy . The kitchen is well equipped with a washer/dryer too which we didn't use but great to know it's there for the future. Only improvements I could suggest is to include a coffee machine ( which every Airbnb property we've stayed at has had and are cheap but great for guests who enjoy a decent coffee in the morning), and for the TV to have terrestrial channels. It was a smart TV so it was great being able to connect our Netflix account to, but this and catch-up was all that was available. These are minor points as neither would stop us returning. Louise and team were very responsive to our queries which was great. We'll definitely return soon and can recommend this place.

I booked Lori's place for my fiancées birthday gift and it was amazing she loved every bit of Bowness. Less than 5minutes away from main promenade. We visited every shop and pub and will definitely be returning in the future. Bed was super comfortable and didnt want for nothing. THANKYOU

Great location for some hiking/running in the South lakes with nice pubs and places to eat right on the doorstep. Neil was very friendly and easy to arrange the check in with. The flat was much more spacious than the photos suggested and I had a great couple of nights there, I would definitely come back!

Amazing stay for a 30th family celebration. The sun was shining so we spent most our time at the house on the terrace! Perfect location with the surrounding scenery. We had a slight issue with the hot tub room, due to previous guests. But this was quickly resolved! Can’t fault the hosts or the house. Would definitely love to return for another celebration in the future one day! Thanks again

Lovely little spot not far from beach and town centre with local spots to eat and drink nearby and great access for walking in the lakes Lovely accommodation with lovely huge bed, rainfall shower and the hot-tub was lovely Andrew always replied quickly and was very helpful

Elizabeth was very responsive and replied all our questions very fast. It was easy to communicate.We arrived late in the evening and she left for us a good coffee,a bottle of Prosecco,bread, milk and fresh organic eggs. It was great to find it after a long day of driving. It helped us with the dinner and the breakfast next day.the house is very beautifully designed,the kitchen had everything you can need to prepare meals (we prepared our meal twice a day in the house, so it was important to us).the bathrooms and the linens were clean. The only thing that was missing,on my opinion, is a shampoo.Elizabeth also left a detergent and the tablets for a dishwasher. The surroundings are amazing and are in a walking distance.Thank you,Lizzie, for a great experience in your house!

The place was beautiful and very welcoming . It felt like home almost immediately. It's located in a very private setting and we loved the river at the back of the property. We had a few teething issues to begin with as we had a wasps nest outside and the occasional power outage when the switch tripped on the fuse box but the host, Cheryl, was very quick to respond and helped resolve things straight away. She even offered to give us an extra day for free but because we had work the next day the option of a late checkout instead was very welcome. I would highly recommend this place and Cheryl was absolutely fantastic! Thank you Cheryl!

The apartment was perfect in every way. The rooms were spacious and matched the photographs on the website perfectly. The views across the rooftops of Ambleside to the fells opposite were to die for. It was wondeful to wake up to the views each morning and to be able to sit out on the inset balcony to take it all in after a days walking. A perfect balcony to eat an evening meal with a bottle of wine to drink in the view. The area is quiet and peacefull. The apartment gave us everything we needed and more. The bottle of prosecco was a nice touch on arrival. It is easy to walk down into Ambleside for shops, browsing and eating. Directions to the building and for accessing the apartment were clear and easy to follow. Communication with Jerry and Wheelwrights Cottage was easy. We enjoyed excellent walks from the apartment as well as further afield in fantastic weather, perfect for walking. We will certainly be returning. Ron & Tricia Berry

The location was excellent for walking to almost anything you need. Parking was easy to access. The unit is on second floor so small bags are easier to manage. The unit had beautiful cosy decor and coffee, tea and milk provided. It was comfortable and quiet.

We had a lovely stay. The apartment is finished to a high standard. You can hear a small bit of noise from the other apartment, but nothing that bothered us. It’s right by the river with a small balcony to sit on. It’s well located with around a 20 min drive to Windermere. Sophie and Mark were very responsive on messages.

Great location and wonderful view of the sea. Had a great walk to Heysham, which has a lovely welcoming pub. Large flat, big beds. Lots of space.

Could not fault this place. Simone is an excellent host. She's really friendly and helpful and so obliging. We had an issue with the smoke alarm going off in the early hours (2.30am!!), and it was a fault on the alarm. We advised her the next morning and she was onto it straight away, communicating with us as required. The kitchen had everything you need, the water was lovely and warm, the heating timer could be over-ridden, but we didn't need heating while we were there. There was not a single thing wrong with this place. Nearby is Allan House and Dove Cottage for Wordsworth fans - word to the wise - get there early before the school outings/coach tours! An Easter Break at The Beehive ,Grasmere. From clear communication & instruction, The Beehive was a perfect place to spend the Easter Break in the Lake District. Accurate description, spotlessly clean. Complimentary bottle of wine and a lovely fruit cake on arrival . The decor was lovely throughout & the apartment had everything we needed during our stay. The views from the communal garden space were lovely & an easy walk into Grasmere took us to some lovely eateries . Really enjoyed the Distillery & The Swan Hotel . Rather than use the car we hopped on & off the regular 555 & 599 buses to Ambleside, Keswick . They were so easy & cheap too. With a flexible check in & out and great communication we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & will surely return . Thanks

We really loved staying at Fiona’s place. It was neat as a pin and had everything you needed. Being centrally located in Windermere it was only a short walk to the local transport, beautiful surrounding walks and great restaurants and cafes. We kept our luggage at the local information centre prior to check-in which allowed us to explore the neighbourhood without our suitcases in tow. Highly recommend.
