Simon was extremely helpful as soon as we booked. He provided very concise directions and communicated with us well. He was helpful with flexible check-in too. Simon welcomed us on arrival but had provided us with all the information we needed for the key safe should he not be in. The flat was lovely, very spacious, comfy and well equipped. Simon's home is situated in a very beautiful area, close to Holmfirth with its many bars, vibrant night life, eateries and shops and also the surrounding countryside too.

We had a lovely peaceful stay here. The surroundings are beautiful but the location is also convenient for getting out & about. Our children loved seeing the chickens & Helen kindly let the check for eggs each morning which was their highlight. We would recommend.

A truly beautiful location and a lovely cottage. We had a great week and wished we could have stayed longer. Jane was on hand with lots of local information and made us feel very much at home.

This is a wonderful place to stay, surrounded by fields with sheep, horses and even two llamas! It's easy to get into central Leeds by car or by bus from the farm. The cottage is well equipped and clean and Nicky replies promptly if there are any issues. We took our dog and she had a great time in the neighbouring woods and river. Would love to return to the cottage sometime in the future!

Great setting close to trough of bowland. Lovely to sit outside and watch the lambs while we ate our breakfast in the sun. Comfortable spacious accommodation and Ann was quick to respond to any questions / requests.

Had a great visit! Very fortunate for John to be understanding and allow us to film our final student short film. John was always very quick to answer any questions, he was very understanding of filming which is always appreciated. The location was beautiful with some lovely surrounding scenery. Perfect for a peaceful getaway.

Perfect in every way! The Chicken Barn was in a fantastic location for walking - with routes literally on the doorstep. The accommodation was great - it was clean and well equipped. Communication with Linda was easy. We enjoyed our stay so much we’re planning on booking again!

Stayed here during early May and it was absolutely lovely! Wonderful views in every direction and more local walks than you can possibly do in a weekend! Simon was also lovely and happily offered to get the bbq out if requested. If you enjoy nice walks and great scenery this place is a no brainer + the old farmhouse aesthetic of the building is beautiful, cannot recommend enough!

Really enjoyed staying in the pod, the location is absolutely perfect and incredibly peaceful. Adam and Emma were great hosts and were really accommodating responding to any queries instantly. I would highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a relaxing get away.

Lovely property in an absolutely beautiful location. Owners were friendly and helpful, and made a fantastic pub recommendation! Seeing all the farm animals was also great. This was exactly the peaceful getaway that we needed, and we certainly hope to come again.

We had a delightful stay at this charming stone cottage which was perfect for two adults — cosy, beautifully finished, and well laid out. Giles was excellent throughout, with prompt and helpful communication. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed: top-quality fixtures, a lovely private garden for morning tea among fresh herbs, and views over a peaceful pasture with sheep and lambs. The nearby village of Wray was equally charming. Highlights include the quality of construction, the serene location, thoughtful layout, and easy access to stunning countryside. A wonderful stay — highly recommended.

Such a wonderful stay! This cottage was neat and spacious, as was the garden out back. The hot tub was clean and well-maintained, felt great, and was easy to operate. Town is just a short walk through some really nice and scenic fields, with a Booths supermarket, a number of tempting restaurants, fun little shops, and interesting history all within easy reach. Really relaxing, quiet, and comfortable.

We’ve had an amazing Easter weekend at Hartleys Huts. Very calm, literally in the middle of nowhere. Loved the hot tub and the views! We had everything we needed. Would definitely come again, but probably not in the summer as the hut gets very warm in the sun! :)

We had a lovely stay. Great hot tub, safe and secluded. Read a book and walk to the local stones/ rocks which was a good 5 miles but we made it! Take water with you and purchased some eggs from a farm on the way back! The hut had everything we needed. Take a lighter with you and extra wood. Will supplies but we left it to late! All in all brill and would go back. Not a bad drive from north east . Well done was great!

Great house for all of us to attend a wedding. Gardens are huge and kids loved it, house is also huge and kids played with no dangers. Gated house so kids were in no danger.

We have just spent the week at Gill’s property in preparation for Christmas and all the ‘in-between’ days (where you don’t know what day of the week it is, or if you’re even still in December.) We were hoping for relaxation, in the middle of the country, with a crackling fire and lots of walks which is exactly what we had! We visited the local pubs (not walkable but in very close driving distance) and found some beautiful walks that were truly incomparable to our London/Essex surroundings. Gill was on hand for anything and everything and was very responsive before, during and after our visit. Gill was very welcoming and truly accommodating. The property was lovely, and felt very spacious for a 2 bed. We had a wonderful time in Yorkshire and will definitely be returning again in the near future.

Julian and Sarah Jane’s house was beautiful. It was lovely and warm when we walked in due to the brilliant under floor heating. The house was modern and very bright inside. It was spotlessly clean and smelt amazing as well. The house was well equipped, everything was there. All the appliances worked very well. The bed was super comfy and big. Great views from the house and peace and quiet everywhere. Julian had left lots of little extras which were greatly appreciated. He provided warm throws and binoculars, bird books and more. They had thought of everything one may need on a short trip. We were very lucky with the beautiful spring weather and enjoyed sitting on the deck in the sun. All in all, a really good stay. The best Airbnb we have stayed in so far! We will return for sure.

Gatehouse Cottage is a lovely 'home from home' find that exceeded our expectations. On arrival we were introduced to the owners, Lesley and Graham who assured us of their support should we need it. There was a lovely welcome pack with essentials: milk, tea,coffee, butter, breakfast cerials & eggs, as well as lovely extras: Croissants, home made cake, jam and marmalade👍. The cottage is spacious and airy with lovely views of the garden. There is a very sunny patio with easy access from the french doors. The cottage is excellent for anyone with mobility issues. Everything is clean and well maintained. We booked Gatehouse Cottage as it was close to The Venue where we were attending a family wedding. You can walk to The Venue within 15 minutes or book a taxi costing £3.50. (Elland Taxi). We had family staying close by and Lesley was very accomodating when they visited us - including their dog. Excellent find and can highly recommend.

Beautiful lodge overlooking Pendle Valley, lovely furnishings, bedding, towels. Everything you could think of was available. The view was stunning & loved the outside area, fully enclosed which was great for our 2 dogs & plenty of outdoor seating & table to use. The site was quiet & peaceful and plenty to explore. The perfect Easter break.

A fantastic experience from start to finish. The cottage is set in a beautiful rural setting with lots of great walks accessible without having to drive anywhere. There is a great local pub a 5 minute walk along the lane and plenty more a short hike away. Jim and Diane were the perfect hosts - respecting your privacy whilst always being available to answer any questions. The property was wonderful and perfectly set up for my elderly mother who has mobility issues - extremely comfortable with fantastic views of the surrounding fields and hills. We will definitely make a return visit in the future and thoroughly recommend this property for a relaxing holiday. Many thanks for a wonderful Easter break.
