The Whale House was even better than advertised! The location was easy to find and so beautiful! We used this as our home away from home to explore Volcanoes National Park, Punalu’u Black sand beach, Volcano winery, and multiple waterfalls. Our family also enjoyed relaxing, reading, and napping on the lanai and in the hammock swings. The garden out back was a delight to explore. The lava cliffs were also very cool!! David & Chrystal provided everything we needed and more! The kitchen was well equipped- we made several meals. The cooler and beach equipment came in handy when we visited the black sand beach. The bikes were also a nice bonus. We really never wanted to leave and would love to come back soon!

this place is more than described. it is amazing , quite, unique property. beautiful place and such earthy, green environment. the night life simply becomes alive at night and all the night sounds just put you into a peaceful sleep. the amazing dunking pool was spectacular and huge hit with my kiddos. the hot tubs are amazing as well. we are so very happy with our stay.

The house was in a good location for our plan. We were close to town for restaurants & grocery stores. Me were up for a quiet vacation and certainly were able to avoid the crowds. It is situated near Hilo & Kīlauea volcano, which were our primary focus. We enjoyed ourselves immensely.

We loved our stay at Johns place. This is a definitely hit and our best place where we stayed on all Hawai’i. Great house with its own soul. Has a beautiful back yard with porch where we spent most of the time. John is very friendly and we were happy to have a great local recommendation! Great location with 45 minutes drive to the Volcano park. Peaceful and private place!

Noah s place was great. Perfect location!! The volcano even erupted while we were there.!! Only 10 min to get there too! Yay. Def rent this place

What a beautiful space! Everything was perfect and clean and my friends and I had everything that we needed! It’s also a quick 2 min walk to restaurants and stores but enough out of the way that you do not feel like you are in ‘town.’ I always love spending time in Hilo - it’s a great town for so much and this was the perfect place to stay at while there! On a side note for other guests - there are 83 whales in this place - we couldn’t resist counting! It’s so adorable. Mahalo

We enjoyed our very short stay. Halford’s place was clean and comfortable and located about 40 minutes from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park which was our purpose for the visit. Halford was great in communicating with us. The only issue we had was that my gps service was not recognizing the road his house was on. Once we got that figured out everything was super. We would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay. The place is super clean and spacious. The town itself is quiet and near the water, and there are plenty of fun things to do just a short drive away. Robynne is a phenomenal hostess and was very helpful with recommendations. Her huskies are so sweet and well behaved and loved to say hi to us. I highly recommend staying here!!

Kristin’s place was perfect for the single traveler or couple. Nice clean and modern finishes. Simple yet tasteful amenities. I appreciated the coffee and bagel breakfast. Though only stayed one night on this short trip. I would surely come again. The checkin was easy and straight forward. Parking close and upfront made checkin and checkout easy peasy.

Rhonda and Jeff were fantastic hosts! Their place was modern, spotless, cozy, and so thoughtfully set up. The small AC unit was surprisingly powerful—as long as the room door stayed open and the ceiling fan was on low, it stayed perfectly cool. They thought of everything: beach gear (chairs, towels, snorkels), bug spray, even an umbrella by the door. The bed was super comfortable, hot water was reliable, and the assigned parking spot was large and convenient. My husband also appreciated the outdoor cloths for cleaning gear. It’s a bit of a drive from Hilo and Keaau, so a vehicle is needed, but otherwise, it was a smooth and enjoyable stay. We’d absolutely recommend this Airbnb and would happily come back. Rhonda and Jeff are such thoughtful and lovely hosts—thank you both for your warm hospitality!

We were very happy with our studio! Very clean , surrounded by beautiful plants and tons of different flowers. We had our dog with us and she had fun too. Being able to do our laundry was a great benefit and blessing. Jacob was very friendly nice and knowledgeable. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you.

Wonderful place to stay, isolated and peaceful. If you're lucky, you get to see the most wonderful night sky -- dependent on if it's cloudy or not. Kitchen has so many different amenities and a pantry storage in case you forgot to pick something up like sugar or flour or rice. It's an outdoors kitchen and is very clean considering but you may see a few bugs simply because it's outdoors -- not because they are attracted to spills or left over food. Room was clean although the bedding was old and with holes. I wanted to check in during the day time but ended up coming at night. Was not too hard to find, but can be eerie by how dark it is. Lastly, highly recommend the Pele room compared to the other rooms! Is the furthest from the communal kitchen so you don't hear other guests conversing there and is also the closest to the parking lot so it can be easy to get from your car to room and back.

This was a lovely, peaceful Airbnb in a nice neighborhood immediately outside of Hilo. Gregory met us upon arrival to ensure that we had what we needed. The unit included everything that we could have needed and more, including a very well-stocked kitchen, yoga mats, guide books, and beach chairs. We could easily get to downtown Hilo within a ten-minute drive and return to the unit for a soak in the hot tub. We loved Hilo and would absolutely stay here again.

This spot was so lovely. Beautiful, peaceful, reasonably priced, spacious, and clean. Having a washer and dryer was very helpful. Owners were responsive when I needed something. Loved seeing their dog Roo and sometimes the kitty too. I would 100% recommend staying here .

This place was fabulous. Everything I had hoped it would be and more. The cove right at the condo was amazing. We walked out at night and got see the turtles. My favorite place so far. The host was awesome too. Hope we get to come back here someday.

I was there with my boyfriend for the week. The location was great! Within walking distance g distance to great restaurants and the best farmers market I’ve ever been to. The views are absolutely stunning. Watching the sunrise in the morning was so beautiful. We felt right at home. I would definitely stay there again! Thank you so much Carla and Joe! It was a little slice of heaven there.

This condo was beautiful and spacious. She left soooo many amenities we were blown away. Like sunscreen if you needed it, woman products, creamer in the fridge, chips and macadamia nut treats. Truly a wonderful well stocked condo, not to mention the stunning view from the deck. We will stay here again for sure! Mahalo for having us

The place was so cute and the lanai was amazing! The running water outside was so relaxing and there was perfect seating for lounging and hanging out. Everything was clean and very well set up for a small place. It provided the perfect place for the start of our honeymoon and very well located for us to get to everything we wanted to do. Definitely rent a car and explore the area!! If we visit Hilo again this will be the first place we look at!
