Everything went smoothly and the flat was clean, spacious, and quiet. The amenities, like washer and dryer, were wonderful. While the location was slightly off the common "tourist path," we actually appreciated that and it was an easy bus ride or Uber back to the flat each night. We also enjoyed the local pub and the food choices nearby. My only issue was the lack of communication about the 3 flights of stairs/no lift. This fact is mentioned in other reviews (as I see now), but not in the description of the property nor in the initial instructions for accessing the flat. The stairs themselves are not Ben's fault and as I learned on my 14-day journey through Ireland and the UK, accessibility is not a priority in these old cities. That's fine. But the lesson for me I guess is to read reviews a little more closely, as that's the only place the stairs are mentioned. I have bad knees so trekking up the stairs each night after a long day was, quite simply, torture. But still a great stay.

Die Unterkunft von Jay war sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Es gibt gute Restaurants in der Nähe, man erreicht das Zentrum zu Fuss und ganz in der Nähe befindet sich der Arthur’s Seat. Der Aufstieg ist sehr zu empfehlen, man wird mit wunderbarer Aussicht auf die Stadt und die Gegend belohnt! Jay war sehr zuvorkommend, hat immer sofort geantwortet. Unser Aufenthalt war perfekt.

Giovanna was a wonderful host! The apartment was perfectly located and walkable to everything. We were able to grab taxis and uber just a few steps down from the front door. Plenty of space, it was nice to be able to open the windows and see as well as hear the night life. It wasn’t noisy but fun to watch people go in and out of the theater across the street dressed up. Highly recommend this apartment to anyone traveling to Edinburgh. You will love staying here!

Valentina’s place was within walking distance to everything we needed. We never heard any of the construction outside. Very quiet. Entryway is definitely run down but the apartment itself is very clean and modern. Having the washer and dryer was a huge bonus! Overall would stay again!

Very comfortable, clean and well equipped modern apartment (the only thing missing was a coffee maker). The heat worked very well. Despite being close to a busy street, the apartment was quiet, even for a picky sleeper like me, with good curtains and shades to keep out the morning light. The bed was big and comfortable. Being on the ground floor, it was somewhat dark, but we hadn't come to hang out there, so that was fine. Location was brilliant, being right down the steet from Haymarket train station and the Airlink bus. It's close to many food stores, cafes and restaurants and about a 20 minute walk from both Princes Street and an entrance to the Water of Leith walking path. Adam was very responsive to our questions during our stay. We would definitely stay there again!

Gorgeous basement apartment with a lovely garden area. Great location, Stock ridge is lovely and great independent bakery, cheese shop, coffee shop etc, nice walk into Edinburgh main bit. Host was great, responded to any messages straight away, we’d definitely stay again

The house was spotless with plenty of room downstairs for us. The main bedroom was large and lovely with an ensuite shower/ toilet. The other 2 bedrooms were smaller but perfect for our needs. All beds were very comfy. The kitchen/diner was VERY well stocked with everything thing we could have needed. Lovely welcome basket with fresh bread and milk with some goodies too and a fresh bag of coffee. Lots of little thoughtful extras, like books, games, doggy items, beach towels and a fab record player! We loved sitting in the garden in the morning and evening. Hardly noticed there were neighbours as it was very peaceful despite being a residential area. We loved our stay and if back in the area would definitely stay again. Mel was a very helpful and friendly host. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed for a quiet and peaceful break. Particularly good for the dog with the garden being fully enclosed and free to roam.

I stayed at this wonderful property for a few days right after getting married, kicking off my honeymoon while also showing my new in-laws some of the best parts of the UK. The entire family had a great time here—it’s clean, very spacious, and truly felt like home. We did run into a minor issue with a bathroom leak (a bit of bad luck on my part, I suppose), but the host was incredibly responsive and did everything they could to resolve it quickly. I really appreciate how it was handled and am grateful for the prompt attention. Overall, I highly recommend this lovely property. If I’m ever in Edinburgh again with family or friends, I’d definitely check if this place is available before considering other options in the Old Town area. A big thank you to the superhosts for your kindness, patience, and excellent communication in making sure everything went smoothly during our stay. 🙏🙏♥️

The apartment was easy to find, it is not in the city centre but there are bus stops nearby. We needed to take a bus very early in the morning to the airport and it was easy. The apartment is comfortable and large enough for four people. It is well furnished to have meals in the house. We enjoyed the welcome pack in the fridge. The conservatory and the rear garden are lovely. Enjoy your stay there!

Marie et sa maison sont très accueillantes. Tout est fait pour se sentir comme chez soi. Les produits de première nécessité mis à disposition sont très pratiques. La maison est très bien organisée pour que 4 adultes aient bien leurs intimités et leurs commodités. Notre arrivée tardive n’a posé aucun souci pour la remise des clés par notre hôtesse. Tout était parfait, jusqu’à l’emplacement qui nous permis de découvrir Édimbourg, Glasgow ….

Fantastic dwelling, great location and excellent hosts. We will definitely look to return to Edinburgh in the future and seek this residence as well as highly recommending it to our friends and family. Our hosts Mark and Dayna were wonderful especially with their wonderful gesture of allowing us to stay an extra night, free of charge, due to The Hogmanay Festival being cancelled. Thank you again. Nevertheless a wonderful visit to Edinburgh underpinned by an excellent apartment and generous hosts.

We have had the best time. The apartment has got the wow factor and it is so homely, it was spotless and the bed is so comfortable. Barry provided us with all the information we needed, and we had no problem with parking. Overnight we parked in the long stay car park by Morrisons, only 5 minutes walk away. We will definitely be going back.

The apartment was well laid out with all that was expected with an excellent holiday let and very easy parking. Neighbour underneath the flat was very friendly, would highly recommend the apartment to anyone staying here.

A super, well equipped, quiet and very comfortable apartment in great location. We only used for a single night to watch a show at the Playhouse but it would also be great for longer stays.

We stayed in Elizabeth’s place for our first couple of nights in Scotland. It was perfect and exactly what we needed! She was extremely accommodating to an early check in and met us right when we got there with instructions. The area is perfect and just a short walk to old town, new town and Stockbridge. Close to deans village! Beds were comfortable and everything was clean!

Really amazing and extremely beautiful flat. It is impeccably decorated and feels like you’re travelling back in time to an Enlightenment-era salon. The living room and bedrooms are like a manoresque time capsule whereas the bathroom and kitchen are modern and fully decked out. Barely wanted to leave the flat! One of the best airbnb experiences ever!

Het appartement van Sue is ontzettend fijn en knus. Leuke details, goede bedden, twee badkamers en op loopafstand van de bus. Sue is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ik raad dit van harte aan!
