We had a lovely peaceful stay here. The surroundings are beautiful but the location is also convenient for getting out & about. Our children loved seeing the chickens & Helen kindly let the check for eggs each morning which was their highlight. We would recommend.

Lovely stay at Lind end cottage, beautiful scenery and a cosy cottage. Janet was very welcoming and made me feel very welcome and at home, thoroughly enjoyed having a chat with Janet. Nice and quiet and out of the way but still within a small driving distance from Coniston or Windermere. Will definitely be looking to come and stay again.

Outstanding cottage, would love to come back soon! The photos don’t do it justice! It’s even better when you’re there. Spotlessly clean, beautiful kitchen/dining room and comfortable bed. The views from the back garden were fab! I can’t recommend this enough, would have happily stayed there longer and will definitely return. It was a lovely gesture that Kate even baked for us!! Had a great visit! Very fortunate for John to be understanding and allow us to film our final student short film. John was always very quick to answer any questions, he was very understanding of filming which is always appreciated. The location was beautiful with some lovely surrounding scenery. Perfect for a peaceful getaway.

We booked Carole's place as we and our 5 children were spending 2 days Kayaking/Paddle boarding on local lakes and needed a place to sleep. The place was perfect for our stay, log burner kept us nice and toasty in the evening, beds were comfortable and the views were gorgeous! Thanks for having us. Will definitely keep this property as our favourite when coming back to the lakes.

What can I say, the best Airbnb we have stayed at to date! This place is perfect, you are in the middle of fields, with lambs everywhere, your own private loch that has kayaks available to use (great fun!), a secure garden to let the dogs roam freely. The house itself is bigger than the images seem, we had plenty of space for four adults, a toddler and three dogs. They provided a cot and high chair which is a great help. There’s a huge boot room which is great to throw off your coat and walking boots, and give the dogs a towel dry after a walk. Beds were perfectly comfortable, a cosy log fire, plenty of hot water in the showers, what more could you ask for! The house felt more like a home than a rental and we are already planning our next trip. The hosts were friendly and available for any questions you may have. My daughter didn’t want to come inside, she was obsessed with the sheep and being in the garden! only issue was signal for the firestick/ phones was poor but not an issue.

it was great staying at Andrew's. The place itself is beautiful and serene on top of that Andrew has put in a lot of thought in maintaining and managing it. Whatever ,you can think you need ,he already has it and also has given great recommendation. we loved our stay and felt very welcomed. A freshly home baked bread was a very personal touch . Highly recommend!

We had a great stay in the Beacon Pod. Fab location - lovely and peaceful but only a short drive to Kendal. Hot tub and views were fab

We had a lovely stay. Great hot tub, safe and secluded. Read a book and walk to the local stones/ rocks which was a good 5 miles but we made it! Take water with you and purchased some eggs from a farm on the way back! The hut had everything we needed. Take a lighter with you and extra wood. Will supplies but we left it to late! All in all brill and would go back. Not a bad drive from north east . Well done was great!

Our stay at The Stables was heaven. Paul welcomed us and showed us around and had even set up the hot tub for us arriving. The house was immaculate with everything you could possibly need and beautifully decorated too. We loved the Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom. The garden was beautiful and so peaceful and our two dogs loved it, it was completely secure for them which meant we could relax. The view from the garden and the location were wonderful, it was just what we needed. We didn’t want to leave and would love to come back sometime soon. Thank you for being wonderful hosts and for our cheeseboard and Prosecco it was such a thoughtful touch.

Beautiful home, very spacious and plenty of amenities. felt right at home! perfect for toddlers too. Ian was great, very helpful and easily contactable.

The piggery was a lovely little find ,breathtaking views , tranquility,lovely to watch in the evening as all the lights come on in the valley,and count the stars , all in all a great stay thanks Barry for the chat ,and Bosco for the cuddles

Beautiful cabin set in a lovely peaceful corner of Amanda & Kevin’s smallholding. They have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and welcoming and went the extra mile to help me with a surprise for my husband’s birthday!

Large house in a quiet location , ideal for family gathering . Kitchen was well equipped which made catering easy . No camp cot or high chair but we bought our own . Thankyou

This was my second visit to the house and even better than I remembered. A perfect place to come with my loved ones to celebrate turning 30. I can’t thank you enough for creating a home from home. We didn’t want to leave! I am sure I’ll be back again!

Lovely lake district hideaway that's so easy to get to yet tucked quietly away. very peaceful, well equipped and super location. the time to Keswick is quicker than you'd expect. excellent roads here.

Perfect, quiet retreat in a beautiful location. The accommodation was very comfortable with well stocked kitchen and powerful shower. We loved wildlife spotting in the garden - deers, birds and bats. Some very good walks, perfect location for the northern fells. Quaint little villages with good local pubs. Emma was extremely helpful answering my questions before our trip and makes the most fantastic brownies- thank you!

I loved The Loft, it was just perfect. The house was beautifully decorated and had everything you could want or need, lots of lovely little touches made it really special. The view from the decking and the hot tub was spectacular and we spent many mornings and evenings just enjoying the peace and the surrounding views. I would definitely book again.

Last minute decision to have a night away and Toms place was spot on! Perfect peaceful location, the annexe is gorgeous with everything we could need. The hot tub was dreamy even in the drizzle as the sun went down over the fields. Tom was a great host firing up the hot tub for us and recommending the fabulous Crown Inn for a great dinner! What a great place to stay! I booked Lynda and Fraser's place for a group celebration with friends and it was the perfect place. The kitchen has everything you need to cook for groups, so many plates, glasses and wine glasses. The dinning table is really big, and we used that a lot. There are three big comfy sofas, perfect for socialising and having a chill. The bedrooms were great, the bunk beds were comfy and again lots of space, with nice views from the windows. There is also a lovely large outdoor table to the side of the property, with a cover over it where we had breakfast. Communication prior to the stay was fantastic. Lynda and Fraser responded to all my questions really quickly and they kindly recommended some walks and pub lunches. The property is in the middle of nowhere, so it is a great place to get away from everything and just relax. The countryside is truly beautiful and great for walks. Would 100% recommend.
