We loved this place! Its peaceful with good local walks, a pub just down the road. Tea and coffee and a loaf of bread were provided which was very welome. We'd brought our 2 dogs along, and Soraya had thoughfully left some dog treats out too. Just outside there was a hot tub, which was a real bonus, and a great way to relax after a day out walking.

Lovely few days stay, Hayley was very friendly and helpful. Cottage is stunning, much bigger than the photos show and had everything’s we needed. Beds very comfy and big en-suites in every room (although there was only 2 of us) secure garden for our two miniature dachshunds which was great. Location is very peaceful and quiet. Can recommend lunch at the Cumberland which was about a 10 minute walk away. Would definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful cottage. Was perfect for us and the dogs. Fully enclosed fenced garden with a gate down to a quiet riverside walk. The hottub was huge and warm ready for our arrival. Everything we needed was available in the kitchen. We only stayed for 1 night so cannot comment on the local area as we did not do much exploring but we noticed a spar walking distance just down the road and a few cafes.

The location was beautiful and the cottage was beautiful couldn’t have asked for more

We had an amazing, peaceful couple of days and just what we wanted. The place was spotless and beautiful with lovely views. Did the Ingleton Falls walk and to come back to the hot tub was an added bonus to our relaxing time. Would highly recommend!

We had a fab 2 night stay at Scarlett’s place! The cottage itself was lovely and cosy , had everything we needed and was clean! The bed was extremely comfortable! The hot tub was great it was really nice to enjoy our anniversary weekend away! We were able to order a take away through just eat on our first night and then ate food at the travellers rest on the Sunday and Arthur’s for breakfast today! Scarlett was a great host and even messaged early to say we could check in! Will definitely return 😊

We had a really nice stay. The cottage was lovely and well kept with great shower facilities and little touches including a welcome pack of local produce. Sharon came to clean the hot tub each morning with the filter being changed between guests, bbq area (with large disposable BBQ to use, birds singing in a sheltered garden. Bathroom and hot tub towels provided, washing machine and tumble dryer easy to use. The beds were comfy and blackout blinds in all rooms. Beautiful surroundings; able to walk 30 minutes to an ice cream farm with play area or drive 5 minutes to Lowther castle

Lovely little house extremely quiet location it had everything you wanted made the stay so relaxing couldn’t wish for a nicer charming weekend away. Wish we had booked it for longer highly recommend it to anyone will definitely go there again

My husband and I stayed at Tethera for the long Easter weekend and we loved the cottage. It had everything we needed. Emma really has thought of everything and more. From a binder full of helpful information, well stocked kitchen with some welcome goodies, cozy living room, perfectly fluffy linen to towels for our dog, Yoda. The shower has great water pressure too! We live in London and really liked how peaceful and private it was. Yoda loved all the new scents and the animals around too! We locked ourselves out one day and Emma responded within minutes. We loved the fresh eggs her hens lay and got some back home as well. I would recommend the place to everyone. It’s spotless, extremely comfortable and perfectly placed for all the nice hikes and pretty towns of Lake District to be easily accessible. Perfect cottage with an equally perfect host.

A perfect family cottage and photos don't do it justice, it was really really nice!! Perfect location with fantastic views it doesn't feel like you're 15 minutes away from the madness of Blackpool. We'll return in the future 100%.

Lovely cottage in a great location. We really enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable, Diane has thought of everything and the little extras like the dog blankets/bowls were very much appreciated. The wood burner made us extra cosy when we had a rainy evening. Great to have parking and somewhere near to exercise our dog. An ideal location , we had days out to Kielder Forest & Seahouses as well as exploring the Roman fort sites. Would definitely recommend this cottage and hopefully we will be back. Thank you.

A wonderful cottage in a fabulous location. Fizz, fresh bread and homemade jam to greet us. Lovely warm and surprisingly large cottage with a gorgeous view of the ford. Great walks straight from the door with wildlife aplenty (sadly no red squirrels but our host did point us to a hotel where we managed to see them). All in all, a cracking place to stay.

Most enjoyable few days in this warm, cosy cottage. Lovely walks for the dogs and so many little birds! Linda very friendly and able to make recommendations for places to eat in area beyond Leadhills. Many thanks.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Emma's place. The secure garden was great for our dog to roam whilst we relaxed in the hot tub at the end of the day following plenty of walking around the Lakes. The cottage itself has loads of character but everything you need for your stay. We were fortunate to have the weather to make use of the gas BBQ. Emma was very welcoming and chilled with the fact we had a good run up and arrived half an hour before check-in time. Nothing was too much trouble and the fresh eggs were delicious! The cottage is just a 10 minute drive from Windermere, (20 minutes to Ambleside, 30 minutes to Grizedale forest), so whilst it's not in the throng of all us tourists, we benefited from the peace and quiet when we wanted it, but nothing was too far away. We'd also highly recommend the fish and chip shop in Staveley, just a 4 minute drive down the road. Hopefully we'll be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. peaceful surroundings, lovely helpful neighbours, close walk to the 2 pubs which serve good food, Co op very close by. We came by train and everything was easily accessible to visit Malham, Skipton and surrounding areas. The cottage was very clean and had all the amenities you would need., very comfortable beds., couldn't fault the accommodation Lovely garden overlooking the river, we enjoyed sitting in the garden and hearing the birds and seeing people walking along the other side of the river. I am a retired travel consultant , have been to many properties worldwide and can honestly say this cottage and location is worth visiting. Thank you, Jeremy and Jaqui

Catherine is an excellent host, great communication and keen that everything is ok, quick response to queries raised. lovely welcome touch, of milk, cereal, bread, pastries, fruit juice jam, butter and apples and a supply of tea and coffee. Lovely compact cottage with a good kitchen, with a dishwasher and microwave. peaceful and quiet, away from everything but only a short drive in to Kendal

We had the most enjoyable experience staying at Sara’s beautiful & cosy cottage. It was in the perfect location with easy walking distance into Town and only a short drive to Windermere & Ambleside. Peaceful cottage in a central location. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided by the host and Sara was available to answer our questions promptly. We would definitely stay again. Thank you for a lovely stay and for the biscuits and mint chocs too. My daughter loved it too x

The Vault is the perfect place to stay while visiting Hexham. It really was a home from home. Super clean, cosy and a great location. Alex was a great, friendly host. Can’t recommend Alex and The Vault highly enough. Thank you Alex

If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, this is the perfect place. Aimee was extremely responsive and helpful when needed and also left us to enjoy our stay in peace. The photos of the cottage don’t do it justice. It’s a beautiful place with an amazing outlook over fields and we felt right at home on arrival with thoughtful touches and clean cozy spaces. We were walking distance to the local village with a lovely bakery and only a 15 minute drive to the beautiful National Trust Cragside. Around a 25 minute drive to beautiful local beaches and so much more to explore if we had more time! A few personal notes:- WiFi was great for our autistic son and his PlayStation. We could tell he felt very relaxed at the cottage. I was ill for part of our stay so we didn’t explore as much as we wanted but because the cottage was so comfortable (beds especially) we didn’t feel like we missed out at all. A beautiful place with lovely owners and friendly locals - we will be back! Thank you

Perfect spot for long weekend , cosy & comfortable accommodation and food in the adjoining Pheasant Inn was outstanding. Peter was fab dealing with any issues and great communication throughout. We appreciated the breakfast goodies of milk, juice, tea , coffee and cereals . Some noise from the pub in the evening but that was expected and certainly didn’t affect our enjoyment of staying!

The perfect country cottage in a gorgeous setting. Pheasants, rabbits and beautiful fairy lights in the secluded courtyard for a relaxing evening. Well equipped kitchen with a lovely selection of herbal teas, comfy beds and although we didn't need the log burner, it promises a cosy feel on cooler nights. Helen is a fab host and we will definitely be back .
