The Curling Pond is a fantastic property at the heart of the beautiful loch-side village of Inveraray. Peter was helpful and communicative from the very beginning. The house is clean, homely, definitely better than advertised - we particularly appreciated the thoughtfulness of the Easter-themed decorations. Inveraray has a fantastic range of restaurants, including the Cottage and Samphire. The Curling Pond is a short walk away from everything. We would definitely recommend it.

We had a lovely stay in Tina’s place. A lot of space in the house which was good for the children. There were toys provided too which helped. The house has a walled garden too for people who need this. The outside space overlooking the pier is not the most beautiful place in the island but it is what it is not Tina’s fault. However, the views from inside the property are breathtaking. Minor issues: some furniture are getting dated, there is no WC upstairs, electric showers. Overall I recommend this place for families and groups of friends

We had a wonderful stay!! Lynn is an amazing host: very responsive, friendly, kind, and thoughtful. The home is absolutely beautiful with a fantastic view of the loch. There were seven of us (adults) and we were all very comfortable. The garden (yard) is large with soft, mossy grass, which our dogs loved! Helensburgh is not too far and offers nice places to eat (La Barca's) and fun stores for shopping (Tweedies). Highly recommend! 5 stars🌟

We had such a fantastic experience at Ruth's place - the house was so user friendly with bedrooms accessible but also tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the living areas. Lovely hot water for showers and everything was very easy to use. Ruth was a fantastic host who made it very easy to get into her house and let ourselves get settled as soon as we arrived on the Island. We love the location as it's a short distance from Blackwaterfoot with its shops, bakery and hotel and beaches. Thank you for a wonderful stay Ruth!

Perfect for our family trip with real sense of spaciousness yet by no means lacking in soul. Location with its splendid views was ideal and all 3 generations enjoyed saying hello to the young calves; Kate was very helpful and responsive to queries and requests

Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön gestaltet und man kann hervorragend ausspannen. Es hat eine sehr gute Ausstattung und ist für kleiner Freundesgruppen oder Familie optimal geeignet. Die Unterkunft ist ideale auf Islay. Wir würde das Airbnb immer wieder buchen.

Everything as described, a good host, Therese gave us information about local bakers and some eating establishments which were excellent. We would certainly go again, the weather was in our favour, which was another bonus

A really lovely caravan, very comfortable, with everything you could need. The kitchen has a great stove and all the small appliances. The lounge is a great place to relax. I loved that there are two bathrooms. There were plenty of pillows, blankets, and the bedding was good. No towels, so bring your own. We did not use any of the facilities on the park as we were travelling around all day. However, the people seemed friendly and the park is well maintained. Could use some trees though. Saltcoats is a lovely place and so are many of the other towns around. We loved our stay and Steven is a great host.

Easter Break We (2xadults & 2kids) booked Angeline's caravan and were blessed with glorious sunshine, an immaculate home throughout. We were fully catered for and defunct of energy after 3 days of Turnberry & surrounding beaches. The Turnberry site is recovering from commercial ownership and is in the process of adding caravan owners and creating a community, the onsite pool / shop / bar were closed but will be open in the near future, all of which will improve the park. A nearby farm shop (pass on arrival) does essentials and amazing food. We will 100% return to Angeline's van and would recommend staying here, can't guarantee the weather unfortunately 🤪

Extremely peaceful and beautiful location, 30 mins from Oban. Magic views from the living room (lake, mountains, sheep everywhere). A lot of space for 4 adults + 2 kids in the house. A lot of facilities near the house including swimming pool. Clean and comfortable beds. Moved two single beds and provided baby cot as we requested. It was a bit difficult to find the house as we arrived late at night but no big deal. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at Andrew and Mary's lodge in Wemyss Bay Caravan Park over the Christmas period. The hosts were welcoming and took the time to explain all aspects of the lodge and its facilities upon our arrival, which was much appreciated. The lodge was spotless, modern, and beautifully decorated, with comfortable seating and a great table for our Christmas Dinner which made it feel like a true home away from home. It was warm and exactly as described on Airbnb. The location was perfect for a peaceful family getaway, offering a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a cosy and well-appointed retreat!

Beautiful and homely cottage in a stunning setting. We saw highland cows, seals, hares and of course sheep, practically right on the doorstep. So quiet and peaceful, with amazing views at all times of day/ no matter the weather. Cally was an amazing host and always very helpful and easy to talk to. We loved meeting her dogs too!

Well, I've driven past on this road hundreds of times on my way further North and not noticed this place. How glad I am now that I have. It is just brilliant. The cabin was super cosy, lots of attention to detail and spacious. The bed was extremely comfy and although it's not far from the road, it really felt like you were away from it all. It's such a beautiful area and I highly recommend it. I also got such a warm welcome. 10/10!!!

Cabin was lovely quiet and peaceful. had all the amenities needed. views were beautiful spent loads of time watching the wildlife and the lambs jumping around in the fields from the cabin porch. loads of good dog walking spots and nice beaches. had everything we wanted for a relaxing weekend away for 2 people and a couple of dogs. hot tub was good takes a couple hours to get it up to temperature but held the temprature well could sit in it for ages. supermarket 20 mins away and a local shop 2 mins down the road far enough from everything to be a quiet getaway in the countryside but close enough to everything you'd need would definitely recommend.

A cosy, welcoming and stylish little cottage on an Incredible little island, with wonderful history and amazing views across the coastline. Very friendly and helpful locals and ferry men. Could have stayed for longer!

What a great place and location, the Hen Hoose was perfect, Colene even had some snacks ready and waiting for me to arrive and they had a box of their eggs ready for me to eat for breakfast. The hot tub was super after a day long hiking to soak and relax. A fantastic place I will come back again 😊

We only got to stay for the weekend for a family wedding, but were blown away by the location and how stunning the house was. Super clean arrival instructions made for a seamless experience. Huge thanks. Can’t wait to be back!

Really nice property. Quite new and very clean throughout. Location is superb for an evening stroll to the very nice food van at woodlands (food van is not a nice enough description- it’s an ex head chef of a hotel restaurant who runs it from a converted classic can). We ate there 3 times and it’s really good food. Set next to a golf course and woodland. Ballachulish is an excellent base for Glencoe, Ben Nevis, fort william. We even drove to Skye. Nice neighbourhood. Only slight disappointment was the photos dont make it clear there is a private road and house set up from the property nearby which makes the hot tub and decking feel not so private. Didn’t affect us really but would have preferred to be informed as we had imagined it being more secluded and private than it was. But overall it was great. Staff are all lovely. The cleaner is obviously fantastic and yes, it’s not cheap, but I think it’s worth it and we would return.

For the second time we did visit this hidden gem in the highlands. Grant and Laura are very welcoming and helpful with any questions we had. The house is perfect for a family of four. It has everything you need, including comfortable beds. With a little drive their are some great beaches with only few visitors. For a good hike try to climb the Resipole or one of the other mountains. On a clear day the views on top are second to none Lastly you can visit the restaurant at the Strontian hotel (aka Bothy bar) Great food, with an exceptional view. We did visit many spots in Scotland but Ardnamurchan is definitely our favourite. It is as beautiful as Skye but without the busloads of tourists
