If you want to explore there are day trips to cater for all tastes. End the day relaxing in a clawfoot bath under the stars, then settling in for the night in front of the open fire. Fire wood is provided.

Clyde River Retreat (Carisbrook)

Nestled along the upper reaches of the Clyde River (the cleanest and most pristine waterway in Eastern Australia) lies the Clyde River Retreat – a haven of beauty, peace and tranquility. The perfect place to stay if you want to visit Pigeon House, The Castle or any of the other spectacular locations in Morton National Park or Budawang National Park. If you do not have a 4WD, ask us about current road conditions before booking. You may not need one, but we cannot guarantee access without one.

Many of the original features have been preserved such as the exposed wood rafters, weatherboards, iron roof and facade. Even the original saddle racks remain in the bathroom and old framing timber has been repurposed into a beautiful kitchen island. Perfect for couples or families looking for a relaxing country getaway.
