10 stars!!!!We have been to Decorah quite a few times over the years and had many great stays, but the hospitality and friendliness of Dorothea is above and beyond! She brought over delicious, warm scotcheroos, left the kids money for the fish hatchery (totally recommend), and warmly greeted and chatted with each of my kids. My 5 kids (9 and under) loved the cars/big wheels to ride up and down the driveway, the slide, and the swings. The little house with the pigs and the little turtle family was also a big hit outside. My littles loved waving to the tractors out in the fields, and my dad loved spotting deer early in the morning. So many toys/activities in the house, and they also loved the fun bath toys! My kids asked if we can come back this summer! We had fire alarm incident, and Dorothea and her husband just went above and beyond. I felt so guilty for bothering them late at night, as the issue was not at all their fault. They were just so wonderful. Thank you so much!!

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin! The waterfalls were so fun to see! The house was clean and had a lot of living areas for us to all gather! Lots of additional supplies in the kitchen also!

Hygge Haus is a wonderful find! We have been traveling to Decorah for ever 6 years now - making multiple trips per year. Hygge Haus ranks right up there! We loved the distance from the main street, and yet it is easily walkable, and absolutely enjoyable in good weather. Hosts clearly think of every detail, and succeed in making you feel comfortable and at home. Lots of clear instructions and notes. The back garden is a nice little retreat as well. We would definitely recommend to anyone.

We had a great stay in Decorah. We went for a run on the Trout Run trail. It was just beautiful, and we were within walking distance to the grocery store and our favorite coffee shop (Impact Coffee). An excellent location and nearby Luthor College to watch the track meet that our daughter was competing in...love this house.

We loved this rental. The home was very comfortable and the hosts have put a lot of effort into small touches to enhance the stay. Nicely decorated. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Great back yard with creek by the fire pit and a private ravine. It’s close to the Luther college campus which was convenient for us visiting our kids. We will definitely stay again!

The hostess was wonderful and very responsive. The kitchen was nice sized and well equipped. The only negatives were the main floor bedroom was very small with a full size bed & I would not recommend using the sofa bed in the living room as a sleeping area because it was very uncomfortable. The upstairs queen bed was nice.

Very nice home! Would definitely stay here again. Felt right at home.

Our second time staying at this Airbnb. We love it! The whole space has a wonderful aesthetic and it feels cozy. Small yet beautiful kitchen with enough pans and utensils to cook for ourselves. Great location, if you are interested in downtown Decorah. We plan to come back

Highly recommend this place!! This is the second time I've stayed here! Charming, comfortable, great location (right on the main street with all the shops/restaurants), and had a fun Norwegian theme. The host was great!!

Really enjoyed staying here for the Toppling Goliath KBBS release. The unit is spotless and clean. The host was helpful, friendly, and quick with local recommendations. If you’re planning on visiting Toppling Goliath this is the place to stay. You can easily walk there and there.

Norma Jean & Daryl are welcoming, kind hosts with an absolutely beautiful property! They were attentive to our safety as there was winter weather and helpful at every turn. My friend & I were celebrating a milestone birthday and had a perfect stay at their place.

we started a long weekend away at The Flats, and it was perfect! Trish even reached due to the winter storm they were receiving to let us know they'd have the driveway plowed as soon as the snow stopped! Highly recommended Host!

We have stayed here a couple times now. The place is exactly as described, clean, well outfitted, etc. and Pam is great about communicating and making sure everything is going well. We will definitely look to stay here again when we are in town!

Eight adults & one toddler totally enjoyed this AIR BnB. It was scenic, we watched Bald Eagles, fished, hiked & BBQ'd. And we made forever memories. The house is spacious & gorgeous. We were in the upper section & enjoyed our time there. My only concern is there needs to be more lighting, in/outside. I am somewhat visually impaired & found the cooking area & kitchen sink was not enough light for me . The firepit area was not lighted & it was a hazard for me to walk in the immediate area. Lighting is needed in upper shower area, too. Other than that, everything else was perfect. Would probably book again, though. Thank you!

Our stay was perfect! We were only there for one night but it was one of the best places we've stayed at in Decorah and we've stayed at many over the last 3 years. Sean's place was clean, neat and roomy. We loved the coffee bar and that the coffee was local from Impact Coffee. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks for making our stay great!

We were in town for my son graduation at Luther. Rather than pay the over price hotels in the area, we choose Tami place & it was well worth what we spent. Host family was incredibly welcoming. Made our family feel like we were home. We would for sure choose this home again! We thank them for making this a memorable time.

Perfect location and scenery if you are looking to get off of the grid but still want access to restaurants and small-town amenities nearby. Host is very responsive and answered all of our questions prior to booking. Everything was as it is described in the listing so we felt our experience was exactly as we expected for privacy, accomodations, etc. We will definitely be booking another stay here in the near future!
