Hillrise Cottage is a peaceful and picturesque property on a hill above the gum trees with spectacular views of the Grampians to the west. 15 km from Ararat and 30 km from Halls Gap, Hillrise Cottage is a great base for exploring the beautiful Grampians region, (30mins away), taking in the local wineries or just relaxing. Chill out in this unique home, stroll around the 6 acre property and check out the large dam, beautiful trees and abundant wildlife. Hillrise is 2.5 hours west of Melbourne.

Relax on the property or use it as a base for bush walking in the nearby Mount Cole State forest or visiting the Pyrenees wineries. Abundant wildlife including wallabies, echidnas & a wide assortment of birdlife. 15 km from Beaufort. Cosy cast iron chiminea on the deck; firewood supplied. EV Car charger. Sadly, the historic meditation temple (c.1995) was destroyed in the February 2024 bushfire.

Natinook, Gateway to Mount Arapiles

Welcome to Natimuk and the Natinook! We have hopefully created a little oasis where you can relax and enjoy your time at our place whether it's an overnighter or a longer stay to enjoy all that on offer in the area. Our unit is quiet and comfortable and has all the amenities you might need. It's in a quiet street, and has a big garden. You will probably have a visit from Jasper our kelpie who is a 'wanna-be sheepdog' and is totally obsessed with our two chooks. Our farm is over the fence.

Inside snuggle by the wood heater, outside relax on a hand hewn red gum deck with built-in bath, outdoor shower. The outhouse provides views across the wetlands and its wildlife! Gariwerd walks are a 10 minute stroll away, as is good coffee, the local brewery and the eateries of Halls Gap. Come and connect!

Settle on the deck as the red necked wallabies shyly appear and native birds splash and natter in the coolness of the birdbath. Kayak the clear water, try your hand at catching a fish or wander the dirt track to explore and be captivated by the bush.

Enjoy an evening BBQ by the fire pit under a starry sky. Leura is in close proximity to Brim - Sheep Hills silos.
