The towns of Alnwick ( the castle having featured in the Harry Potter film) and Rothbury are also 20 min away and well worth a visit. Stunning beaches and miles of coastline are only 25 min away.The hosts are only to happy to provide advice and information.

Longsands Hideaway offers a little pocket of peace amongst all the action. Wildhope View is a cosy, romantic retreat with spectacular views of the rolling hills of the Aln valley and the, “18 arches” viaduct built in 1849 by Robert Stephenson.

The Granary, Bog Mill Cottages, edge of Alnwick

A beautiful, modern and tastefully converted stone barn retaining much of its original character and charm. The Granary is one of 3 holiday cottages converted from the former farm buildings of Bog Mill. Bog Mill is no longer a working farm. All three cottages are completely self contained with each cottage having their own individual garden areas, parking areas and garden furniture. The cottages do not overlook each other or share any facilities.
