Paula made our stay amazing again! The fire was going and the place was toasty warm. We were lucky enough to be there while the goats were having their babies and Paula let all 5 kids stay out with her for hours. We all had an amazing peaceful weekend. Highly recommend!

It was a beautiful weekend. The surroundings were peaceful and place was super cozy. Apt for a relaxing weekend trip by the lake.

Derek's place gave a perfect ending to our summer vacation! Very family friendly with all the features just as described, and even more (go explore around!). In addition to other good reviews, always fast respond and so nice to offer some supplies we forgot to put in the luggage; surprisingly we found some chopsticks in the kitchen which is really considerate! Definitely recommend Derek's lovely place ❤️

Fred’s house was great! The house’s open concept was large enough for all of us (6 adults) to hang out in through the cold winter days without feeling crowded. The fireplace added lovely ambience and warmth. The six bedrooms ensured we all had our own space, which was a nice treat for our girls’ weekend. The master bedroom with ensuite was particularly spacious. The whole house was nicely decorated, and overall was a cozy and welcoming place. We didn’t use the sunroom, as is unfortunately smelled of smoke. Fred was a very responsive host. He quickly answered any questions. We had a lovely stay here, and wouldn’t hesitate to fully recommend it.

This Lake Nipissing rental was very much what we were looking for to do an ice fishing outing for 6 mostly retired guys – it was almost directly in from Lonely Island (about 1.5k walk). The actual cottage is very large, and it was nice having 2 ½ baths. The kitchen is very big with a huge island that also works as a pub height dinning area and there are tons of cabinets with all of the kitchen utensils/accessories you’ll need to make great meals. There are a few rough areas, which comes from a lot of use (e.g., trim work, a few chips, dents and worn chairs, shower heads, etc.), but for a northern cottage rental I would say it would be 4 to 4.5 stars and for an ice fishing choice I must give it 5 stars. I will very much consider this location again if we decide to do another ice fishing trip to this location again in the future and if you were doing a non-winter trip, I’m sure this location would be a perfect area with boat access and placement on the water for a large family outing.

We came in from Alberta for a wedding in the area, and stayed at Tara’s place. It was much larger than we had imagined, and the property was just gorgeous! We would absolutely book with Tara again if we were back in the area.

We had a wonderful stay! The host was incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel at home right from the start. They even greeted us with a bottle of wine, which was such a thoughtful touch and truly appreciated. The place itself was clean, comfortable, and well-kept. We especially loved the flexible check-in and check-out times, which made our trip so much more relaxed and stress-free. The highlight was definitely the huge backyard facing the lake — absolutely stunning views, especially during sunrise and sunset. It was the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy nature. Overall, a great stay with a great host. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and pleasant getaway.

We stayed at Dave and Linette's home while we were in the area for a women's hockey tournament and it was the perfect spot for our team! it was so clean and spacious. Dave and Linette snow-blowed a path to the fire pit so that we could enjoy a beverage outside together. The view is amazing and parking was ample. We would love to stay here again. Dave and Linette communicated often and clearly and were so kind. Thank you L & D!

The cottage was lovely - had everything available, from kitchen supplies (+), outdoor activities (kayak, canoe, paddle boards, peddle boat, ladder ball, croquet, etc), and lots of movies & books! You can never be bored here or feel like you're missing something. I loved that everything was labelled and organized, so you could always find everything you need. The location is so beautiful and peaceful, and right on the water. My family and I had an amazing time and would come back again! Thank you!!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the cottage. The place was cozy, clean, and beautifully maintained – exactly what we needed for a peaceful retreat. The surroundings were serene, with lovely views and nature all around. Everything was thoughtfully provided, from comfy bedding to a well-stocked kitchen. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and communication was smooth throughout.

We discovered the perfect secluded getaway in this beautifully maintained property. The grounds were consistently plowed during snowfall, making our winter stay worry-free. The main cottage comfortably accommodated our group of 5, featuring a fully-equipped kitchen and a thoughtful welcome kit with snacks and coffee. Two full bathrooms with provided toiletries made sharing the space easy, and the comfortable beds ensured restful nights. The clean, spacious hot tub was perfect for relaxing after outdoor activities, and the reliable wifi kept us connected. We enjoyed both the excellent heating system and the cozy wood fireplace, all while taking in beautiful waterfront views. Killbear Provincial Park, just 40 minutes away, offered excellent winter hiking. Quick tips: bring extra towels as only one is provided per person, and pack slip-on shoes for travelling between cottages. While water has a slight odour, it tastes perfectly fine. We’d love to return in the summer! Highly recommend!

Quite place, surrounded by tall trees and various animals. Neighbours aren't too close. Large deck to unwind, although, the stairs climbing up from the deck could be a little demanding on the legs. Groceries, stores, restaurants, LCBO is with in 6 minutes from the cottage. Hosts are very responsive and helpful, no matter what time. Kids had a great time. The lake could use a little restocking (for all the unprofessional fishermen 😁). Overall, we enjoyed the time at the cottage/lake.

The cottage setting was spectacular! Quiet and peaceful with the amenities my group loves - big, comfortable common spaces, a large kitchen, and rooms for private, peaceful sleeping. The wood burning fireplace was a real treat.

A great retreat for a New Year’s nest. Loved the hot tub in the snow - and the bunkie! Very relaxing, comfortable. You should organize your food supply carefully though as it would take about 2 hours (40 min to Foodland, 40 min back and 20 min shopping). We were fine as we had brought lots of food with us. Also, the walls between the two bedrooms are very thin, so if you have a snorer….Otherwise, a wonderful property!!

My friends and I stayed at Hong's place October 2024. We've stayed there before and had a great time, and this time was no different. Even before checking in Hong made sure all questions were answered and gave us a guide to the place and the area. The check in experience was seamless and accommodating, and the cottage was cleaned very well. The cottage itself is so warm and cozy, and the surrounding area is beautiful. We would definitely stay here again!

The cottage is clean and it was easy to find. While we could not be outdoors due to the weather, but the cottage was right on the lake. However, if you are more than 2 family’s with young kids planning a cottage trip, this may not be ideal as the 3rd bedroom only has a bunk bed, which is not as convenient as a normal bed would be. But overall, the experience was good with all accessories at disposal and the host was responsive.

Excellent experience at this cottage. Lots to do around but the serenity and tranquility was at its best! Laura was an excellent host, thank you for a wonderful stay. Will be back!

It was our second stay Dee's place for a ladies weekend. This is one of our favourite spots! Comfy beds, each bedroom with a bathroom, 2 large seating areas, well equipped kitchen. And Dee is quick to respond to any questions. Thanks again Dee!

I can't thank Tiffany and Pat enough for being amazing hosts and helping me through a difficult time. I stayed there on two separate occasions. The location of the house is right on the lake and sitting and watching the sun rise was beautiful. Narrows Convience Store is down the street and so is Mikisew Provinvial Park. The house has all the amenities (more than any other Airbnb I have stayed at). I would rats it more than 5 stars if I could. Thanks again so much!

What a magical place! The cabin was exactly as described and had a really warm, comfy feeling. We were travelling as a couple with 4 young kids (no small feat!), and we were totally comfortable and found the cabin stocked with everything we needed. Travelling in the middle of quite a big snowstorm, we were a little concerned about finding the place and the long driveway in. The directions, however, were really clear and the driveway was really well ploughed, and this was so appreciated. Matt and Lori also checked in frequently to make sure everything was great. Thank you for a great little escape!

We booked the airbnb very last minute and Lixin reached out to us promptly and gave us clear instructions. The cottage is stunning , it actually looks better than the pictures. overall, we had a wonderful weekend over there.

Lovely place, Brendon responded quickly to any questions we had. Was clean and fun; my lady whooped my a** in foosball. Even with all the snow. He had snow-plows come regularly everyday. With It being a blizzard out we did not have to worry at all about being stuck. Views of the lake were stunning. Can’t wait to come back.

What a treat to have so much privacy, complete with modern amenities in an area that is dominated by older, traditional cottages. French River is a gem of a place and how lucky we were to enjoy it in David's modern 'bunkie'. We were blessed to have a clear and calm night on Oct.10th for peak Northern Lights show. Mornings were spent visiting a nearby beaver den by kayak or canoe. Our next visit back will include fishing which is what the area is known for. Would love to come back during the summer season to enjoy water sports and late nights on the covered porch. Thank you Dave and your crew for making our stay enjoyable.

We absolutely loved our night in the cabin. Simply stunning views and setting. Cassie was proactively helpful and communicative before we came. And getting to the cabin couldn’t have been easier. We’d love to stay again one day.
