The setting was wonderful and the place was very comfortable and inviting. I loved watching the birds fly in and out of the bird houses. We really enjoyed staying here. Wish we had a longer stay but we are celebrating our 31st Anniversary and hitting several spots in eastern Oregon. We would definitely stay again if we come through this way. One of the regrets is not taking the time to watch the night sky, I’m sure we wouldn’t have been disappointed!

While I really enjoyed the artistic flair to this spot, I was really impressed with the infrastructure that was added to make it truly functional. Anyone can add a bunch of bunk-beds to a basement and call it a guesthouse, but a strong level of functionality has been strived for - and achieved. The extra showers had high-powered fans, each bunk had a hook to hang things and a light to read by. There were ample outlets and sinks. So aesthetics AND functionality! Awesome. Got to meet the legend Barbara. She's an empowered soul who is lifting up a town.

Beautiful lodging on beautiful land! Biggest "tiny home" I've ever experienced, and very well catered to. I felt it was much more spacious and charming than even what the pictures showed. Everything I needed was available, including snacks! I accidentally left my watch and Doriana contacted me about it and promptly mailed it to me. I hope to visit again and look forward to spending more time here.

This was a very affordable B&B in Spray, Oregon. We kayak the John day so staying close by the river was great for us.

Space was clean, cozy, and charming. Kitchen had everything you could need and the bedding was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend staying here to visit the painted hills, just around the corner.

Erin's place was in the perfect location for visiting the Painted Hills, Sheep Unit and Fossil. We explored a different area for each of the three days we were there and were grateful to have a comfortable place to rest and make meals after long days of hiking and exploring.

This was the perfect place to stay for our trip exploring the John Day Fossil Bed units. I would even stay here again solely to lay in the hammock along the creek for a few days. They truly thought of everything you may need during your stay. 10/10 recommend!! All of the baby cows were a plus :)

We loved our stay at Rimrock Cottage! The space was comfortable and a wonderful home base for visiting the Painted Hills and John Day Fossil Beds. We got a kick out of the local flock of turkeys and seeing dozens of California Quail. Would love to stay here again in the future!

Celebrated 15 years with my husband exploring the Painted Hills & Sheep Rock units of John Day Fossil Beds. Easy to get to everything, don’t sleep on seeing Blue Basin, and even with our EV we didn’t run into any issues with charging due to the Tesla charger (pay by donation) a short walk from Little Pine. Mitchell was exactly what we expected and we loved every minute of it, especially the burgers at Tiger Town Brewery.
