I highly recommend this adorable classic bed and breakfast. It’s unpretentious, laid back and has that touch of Orcas Island magic we all visit for. This quirky old BnB hits all of the right notes: delicious breakfast, impeccable hospitality, chill guests, beautiful grounds, clean rooms, forest hot tub, tea and coffee bar, comfortable bed and a reading room for those PNW rainy days. If you’re a fancy pants then maybe not for you, but I had a great experience and plan to visit again.

While Marillyn had to be out of town, her guest hosts were fantastic and friendly. We felt right at home and it was the perfect place to stay for a Mt. Baker ski vacation. Great value.

What an incredibly beautiful, peaceful place for a vacation! We loved the view of water and the hammock chairs outside. While we'd planned to spend more time visiting other parts of the island, Jody's home was so pleasant that we spent most of our time just hanging out at "home". I was also impressed with how well-stocked the kitchen is. We've often stayed at rentals that claim a good kitchen setup, but this was the real deal! We left with amazing pictures, great memories, and our kids have already asked to go back.

Such a nice place to stay! House locates in a tranquil neighborhood which is very close to the town, so convenient! It is more like a home style place to live in. The breakfast, so good, there are fresh fruits, home cooked main entree and dessert. Jill & Charles are such a sweet and kind couple. Our car is broken, they helped to bring us to the ferry, we talked all way long with jokes and laughs. I can see they are very enjoyable on what they are doing and how much they love their life. It is such a memorable journey with stories. Highly recommend people visit them!

I went to Washington to say goodbye to my sister before they cremated her. Stayed here with David and he was super responsive and very sweet. Let me know ahead of time that there was someone in the other room which I kept to myself and that wasn’t a problem at all. He showed a lot of compassion and helped me find my way around, even offered to save me $50 in Lyft fees and picked me up from the train station. We made our way to the house and he was kind enough to show me around of what was near by his house and it was the best experience possible for me even though I was going to say goodbye to my baby sister David made sure to make me feel comfortable and at home. 100 percent would go back and recommend.

We found the place easily. Stairs were a challenge for the seniors in my group but well taken care of and lighted. Loved the breakfast scones and amenities in the refrigerator. Ranae has thought of everything for a comfortable stay by storing a folding table and chairs, baby items if needed, fans and other items. The office is a nice touch. The beds were very comfortable. I did not get the normal backache that always comes after a stay in a hotel. If I am in Lynden again I will look to stay here again.

Had a lovely long weekend here. Jill and Charles were just the right amount of attentive and the room was spotless. We loved the hot tub and the delicious breakfasts.

What a wonderful stay! Jill and Charles were lovely hosts and made us feel right at home. The bed and room were so comfortable. We had all we needed in terms of amenities in the bathroom. Additionally, each morning waking up to a fresh cup of coffee, yummy orange juice, a three-course breakfast (where you never have to decide between savory and sweet), and friendly conversation was the ultimate vacation perk. I have been bragging about it to all my friends and family. Will stay with them again when on the island.

A unique place to stay while you play near Mt. Baker :) Highlights include watching farm ducks waddle around, delicious breakfast and snacks made from homegrown ingredients, and lovely all natural body products to use. Pat gave a thorough orientation (there are also small signs everywhere you go) and then complete privacy, but also very easy to reach if you have questions. Thank you for a lovely stay! Three things that are spelled out in description but folks should be aware of: -As described, the bathroom is separate and accessible by external staircase. This is a little uncomfortable and slippery in winter, but manageable. If you need to go to the bathroom a lot in the night or are not steady of your feet, wouldn't be a good fit. -It is a pretty long haul from the car to the lodging over varied terrain and then up those external stairs, so again, if you have any mobility or balance issues, be aware. -No shower and a lovely but small tub. If you are a tall person who wants to get clean, you might have a hard time.

We only spent a single night at Sehome Garden during a brief trip to Bellingham, and decided on Walter & Joseph’s place after seeing the photos of the bright, colorful, and spacious bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The location is a short 10 minute drive from the city center, and there is safe and secure parking within the large private grounds of the garden. The house and rooms are thoughtfully decorated, and all areas are clean and tidy. We were served a wonderful homemade breakfast which included excellent hot coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice, and we enjoyed our meal in the dining room that had a view of the expansive grounds, pond, and gardens. It’s easy to see that Walter and Joseph take pride in their home, and their congenial personalities made us feel truly welcome. We had a very comfortable - albeit a short visit - and we would highly recommend Sehome Garden to anyone.

Charles was the best host. The breakfast was amazing every morning and he was very accommodating to my girlfriend’s dairy intolerance. Very happy with the experience and we would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Orcas.
