I stayed at this homestay for three nights, and it was a delightful experience. The view from the balcony is simply breathtaking, and the hospitality of the people here is heartwarming. The food is a standout feature—organic and delicious. However, I did encounter a few minor issues. The common bathroom can be a bit inconvenient, and the charger jack is located quite low on the wall. It would be much more convenient if it were placed beside the bed for easier access. Additionally, there are extra charges for using the kitchen, which I believe should be clearly mentioned in the instructions provided to guests. Despite these small issues, everything else was great. I would highly recommend this homestay for its beautiful views, warm hospitality, and excellent food.

We had a lovely stay at this super spacious 3-bedroom country house set within beautiful, expansive grounds. The home was spotless, well-maintained, and the architecture was truly stunning. The location is peaceful yet convenient, just a short drive from Kalimpong. One day we even made the scenic trip to Darjeeling, which was absolutely worth it, though we were glad to return to the tranquility of the cottage. The surrounding area is rich in history and culture. We visited nearby Tibetan monasteries, which felt very special, and even explored St. Mary’s School, founded by a Scottish man,such a fascinating bit of heritage. We had a magical stay at Manohar’s place. The renovation was a work of love and shows painstaking attention to historical detail. The little exhibition on the story of the house, from the end of the Raj to Manohar’s family, is also enchanting. Manohar and his team were great hosts, and everything went smoothly from our arrival after dark to our early-morning departure for the airport. Our host made us a lovely breakfast that we ate in the garden with a view of Kangchenjunga and gave us helpful tips for dinner. I’d definitely recommend a stay at this lovely house. We wish we could have spent more time enjoying it!

If you’re looking for a remote getaway that offers privacy and the charm of village and farm living, this is the perfect place. My friends and I absolutely loved our stay here. The property is beautifully maintained, and the hospitality provided by the host and their family was exceptional. From the homemade, organic food to the locally crafted liquor, everything was delicious and healthy. The barbecue prepared by the host was a highlight—absolutely “yum yum”! They also went above and beyond to assist us with local sightseeing, making our experience even more memorable. A special mention goes to the host’s sweet grandmother, their lovely niece Neema, and their adorable dog Snoopy, who added so much warmth and joy to our stay. I had a lovely stay at Dolly aunty's place. The loft is located bang in the middle of town but down a cul de sac, once you take the alley to the house, the traffic noise ceases and you enter a residential area that's quiet and peaceful. All local conveniences are located at walking distance. The apartment has a private terrace that overlooks Kalimpong town and the neighbouring mountainscapes. The bedroom is spacious, well ventilated with lots of windows and natural light. The kitchen unit is separate, next to the apartment, on the terrace. You can watch the clouds pass by the mountains as you cook/eat your meals. The kitchen is well stocked with all the essentials, which in my case made long stay possible. This is a comfortable, safe, gem of a place, especially if you're a solo female traveler looking for long term rental. Dolly aunty is very easy to communicate, relatable and considerate, she always checked on me if I was ok and if I needed anything. Will definately revisit again.
