A beautiful house in a lovely location with views over the hills and trees. Such uplifting scenery to wake up to. The house is on the outskirts of Wellington in Thorndon which has its own great bars shops and restaurants. Easy walking distance to central Wellington. Close to the stunning Botanical gardens and the cable car. Fantastically equipped house with special treats like ground coffee, milk and a bottle of wine. We had a very happy and memorable stay here.

We had a wonderful couple of days - we didn't know Wellington at all and were worried that the noise may be bad from the airport but it was very quiet and only a couple of times noticed planes coming and going. It was great having off-street parking and we we super comfortable in our rooms and very cosy. Had a lovely walk down at the end of the street. All in all a great place to be. Would definitely visit here again! Thank you Steph for sharing your lovely home.

We stayed for a week and absolutely loved our time here. It really felt like a home away from home. There was everything we needed and Kate was quick to respond to any questions. Loved all of the birdlife and the walks to cable car and botanical gardens. We will definitely stay again next time we visit Wellington.

beautiful house, with garden and being very private with the front fence, entry by gate... we were in Naenae for a funeral, really appreciated to have the space to reflect and prepare ourselves for our last days with our sister/aunty/Nana.. Thankyou so Barbara for letting stay at St James..

Awesome big house in a convenient and lively central location. Walking distance to bars, restaurants and parks. Hosts are helpful and responsive. Only minor downside was parking was a bit difficult, we had to park a few blocks away. Otherwise a perfect stay. Thank you!

A fabulous place for a family holiday - my kids loved playing in the flat yard and with the beach about a minute or two walk away, it was easy to get the kids into the water and back. Raumati South four square and cafes just over 5 minutes walk away. The bach itself was well equipped with basic supplies and Amy is a wonderful host - proactive communicator and extremely kind and helpful.

This was a return visit to this simple peaceful place. We love the views and the whole experience, with everything we need for a cosy relaxing stay. This time we explored the area a little and found some lovely walks and cafes. We will be back soon. James and Emma made us feel very welcome with honey from their bees and lovely cumfy beds and linen. And very special to be able to bring our sweet dog too. Many thanks ☺️

We had an absolutely gorgeous stay here! This Airbnb was stunning. It was well equipped with all modern day appliances, spacious layout, comfiest beds and nice close to local shops. Special shout out to Rachael who was super friendly and able to get the house cleaned and ready for us the evening we booked it - best host! :)

Great house in a beautiful location. Excellent amenities, beautiful design, perfect for travelling with pups. A few notes: - The # of steps up to the unit might be underestimated by a factor of ~5. Not recommended unless you're reasonably fit. - The bedroom doors don't latch. There are hook-style locks provided....on the outside of the door. Not a huge deal, just means you need to shove something under the door if you want to keep the dogs from nosing their way in. - The water from the tap gets _really_ hot. This is great for some things (shaving) and less great for others (shower, dishwashing) Overall an excellent spot!

Our stay here was a perfect base in which to explore Wellington from. The house had everything we needed for our 2 night stay.

The house was comfortable and inviting. Felt like a lived-in home and felt like we could totally make ourselves at home there. There was everything we needed throughout. Would very much recommend.

Loved our stay. Beautiful, spacious house with very big bedrooms. We enjoyed a day trip to Lake Ferry hotel. Only criticism is the wifi did not work at all and we couldn’t get phone reception. Other than that, highly recommend thanks.

Our stay at Anindita's property was fabulous. Anindita and her partner Neil were wonderful hosts. The property was clean, fully equipped and we had the most restful sleeps. The location was wonderful with public transport into the CBD of Wellington literally outside the front door. There were takeaways, supermarkets and other stores within walking distance. We had our gorgeous (well behaved dog with us) and he had a wonderful time. There was a fabulous doggy park literally a four minute walk from the property - perfect.

A beautiful place to stay where we were surrounded by nature and enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing couple of days.

We had the best stay at the police barracks. Myself and my bridesmaids got ready their before my wedding. Was the perfect property for bridal photos too.

We had a wonderful stay here. Our kids were really entertained by the creek to play in, wildlife to watch, hot tub and glowworms. It was cosy and quaint. The space is beautifully basic, has everything you need and is comfortable. The bathroom is a little bit of a schlep up the hill but that was fine for us. We really loved our time here and are already planning a return trip. Would definitely recommend a stay in this lovely spot

What a wonderful, peaceful country home away from home. Belinda and family were so responsive and generous with farm/animal experiences for the kids. Tiny house is very comfortable and adaptable. Featherston around the corner with cozy places to eat and peruse.

We spent Xmas and new year here. The house has a great outlook over Kapiti Island and there is a comfortable homey lounge with a nice indoor/outdoor flow. The Pohutakawa’s next door were in bloom. We had the grandkids over and they loved the spa pool. There is a mezzanine off one of the bedrooms with an awesome amount of Lego. So, heaven for kids to go up there and have a bit of a play. Huge selection of board games etc and Texas Holdem poker was a hit with our crew. The oven takes a bit of a fiddle and a couple of go’s to get the hang of it. The driveway can be a challenge. We were mainly here to catch up with family, but enjoyed some of the local sights , including the car museum and the Barry Hadfield Nikau forest. Carolin is responsive and overall a great time was had by all.

Great location across from the bay, few minutes drive to Island Bay. House is clean, modern and warm. Well stocked kitchen with all the utensils you could want. 5 stars in every category from me
